Frankly, I can't imagine why you would want to watch - for example - only the second film in a series, and not the first, third and/or fourth.
Terminator 3.

No one wants to watch that.
Here's a fun paradox, if nobody watches it, how can anyone know it's bad?
Paradoxes are what Terminator is all about.

Actually, he didn't expect Star Wars to make it big. He didn't have it planned out at all. He just rolled with it after it did so well
Half true. He didn't think it would do well and V and VI only came along because IV did so well, but the initial plan was for a 9 part serial and he thought it would be most interesting to start in the middle. It was in the Story of Star Wars documentary released around the time of episode I's release

But as you say, he didn't expect to be able to do all of the saga at all.

No, bad man in red!
That is not a Metal Gear game, sereously.
Hideo Kojima had nothing to do with it, they didn't obtain the right to use the charecter and it in no way ties in the the series proper.
Fair enough.

Though on a thread about making bad sequel to milk money out of fans through name recognition, listing a fake sequel seemed to fit the topic. But in case anyone didn't know that, I'm glad people have pointed it out.
