With FPS I just shoot everything I can, even the scenery. RPG's I like to explore, looking in every corner. I also like to fully finish a game, unless I can't bear playing it. I tried to carry on playing Heavenly Sword, but it was horrendous.

I'm a plot whore. Game needs an interesting story if it wants me to shoot those aliens/nazis/criminals/whoever the enemies are. Sadly, none of those badges from that last test seems to suit me.

I like shoot things with big gun. That make me happy.. hooray for 'splosion!

One of my badges also states this as a fact!
You sound like Heavy.
'Some people think they can outsmart me. Maybe. But I am yet to meet person that can outsmart bullet!'

OT: I'm more of a nutcasey spy.
I'll find the target, go through all the motions to get it ready, then pull a 'Fuck This' an start mowing the place down.
My opera level saves in Blood Money confirmed that :D
Funny you should say that, cause in fact, the Heavy is without a doubt my favourite and best class ever, in the best game evah! Have yet to meet tiny teeny baby man that can kill me!

I try my best to play a game "my way", my way being making contact as much as possible and looting everything.

In a stealth game, this translates to me smashing everyone over the head and taking their money and weapons, in an action game, shooting everyone in the head and taking their money and ammo.

I'm tactical and strategic. Given a choice between killing a target or simply incaping it, I make a quick judgment of "Will they get in my way later?" If the answer is "Yes" or "Maybe" I'll kill them without a second though. If it's no, I'll just go with whichever happens to be easier.

I like to be stealthy and snipe... Unfortunatly most games do not think of giving a silenced sniper rifle so I usually get one kill and have to shoot things with big guns... which is fun :)

It depends on the game and whether I can risk it or not. In something like Metal Gear Solid where escaping an alert isn't very difficult, I'll usually go genocidal but only if the situation calls for it.

When I'm not in the mood for that, if I'm playing on a higher difficulty setting, or on other games where being spotted has a higher chance of mission failure in one way or another, I'll be as stealthy as I can.

I'll also go for the perfect/best/good guy ending, even if I have to use a walkthrough my first time through.

My first time through, screw around, have fun.

My second+ times through 100% in one go.

And 100% for me is a lot more than for most people. It means 100% on every single difficulty.

I can also see that you "coulnt give TO shits about spellin" hahah

I totally know what you mean. I absolutely love it when you plan the perfect sniper shot in games like hitman. Its like "oh man, you are so dead"

Sadly when it comes to RTS and 4x games I'm:

I just can't force myself into playing a different way.

But when it comes to any kind of shooter/action game I'm:

Whatever the danger I will just go STRAIGHT INTO IT. :p.
I'm kinda weird this way. The weirdest thing is the fact that usually I have a pretty decent K/D ratio (3/1 or 4/1).

I actually think that a lot of games make the choice for you as to what type of gamer you are. In a game like Splinter Cell: Conviction you COULD go guns blaring if you wanted to, but it would make your life much more difficult (especially in something like deniable ops where the amount of enemies you have to eliminate depends on how stealthy you are). I love Splinter Cell, probably one of my favorite games right now. So when I play splinter cell I'm stealthy.
Then in something like MW2, It depends on the level, yea sure it's all well and good to play stealthy but in multiplayer, in most people's opinion, stealthy= camper. So stealth outside of the single player and Spec Ops isn't really happening in MW2. Personally, when I play MW2, I just want to have fun, run around, shoot some stuff. So when I play MW2 I'm loud.
Hmmmm... genocidal.... oh I know! Just Cause 2! What other game can you hijack a rocket shooting, machine gun wielding plane and use it to destroy an oil rig and then crash it into something else and then the chaos goes on and on. Seriously, This game WANTS you to be genocidal. The game progresses though causing chaos by blowing stuff up and killing military officers.
So I suppose I'm multifaceted... If I had to pick one of the three. It would be hard to choose between loud and stealthy. I just want a game to have a good balance with the ability to choose your attack route instead of just going on the pre-outlined method.

Congratz on your first post and yay its on my thread! :)

Yes I agree with the fact that some games just enforce a particular style of play however, there is always a preference though I do realise that people also like both. I am more asking, which one would you rather to be enforced to a greater extent in the "perfect" game.

And yes, conviction has done a great job where you can choose which way you want to undertake a particular level.

Explorer. Definitely like to take the time to see everything (used to run a screenshots blog for an MMO) and see as much as possible before storyline chages, phases or makes particular areas unavailable.

Still happier wasting hours driving around San Andreas not really doing much (though these damn pigeons, just can't find the last 10 or so) than blindly following orders like a robot.

The kind that won't start a war over
1. Which console is better
2. Which game is better
3. Which game developer is better

I just like playing good games.

I like to sneak, leaving enemies if possible.

If I was to get spotted, I get annoyed as I dislike massive firefights, but if I have to, i'll get the biggest gun and spray in the enemies general direction - if I get spotted. If it's an action game, then I just try and go for headshots

Well in that sort of game, I like to be stealthy. I find it more fun, and adds a bit of suspense to it. I try to run through with few casualties to make it 'seem like I was never there', but sometimes I can't help but stealthily kill enemies I get close to. And sometimes I get bored and charge out like a heavily-armed lemming. But mainly, in stealth games, I stealth my way through.
But if you mean what do I do in games in general, I kill all enemies I find. When I was younger, I usually ran away from enemies every chance I got, and in games like Final Fantasy and Pokemon (When I was younger. Don't flame me.) I REALLY regretted it later, when I was in unescapable boss fights and I was a much lower level than I was supposed to be, and got shredded. I realised why this happened when I got older, and played through the games again, and completed them.
I would get stuck on Evloret in FFVIII for days. Enough said. Most recent playthrough, I got to Ultimecia. But then overwrote my save with my friend's. A long period of dismay followed.

Sorry 'bout that. I get carried away.

But back to my original point, I kill every enemy I find, to make sure I milk out every bit of EXP, money and every item I can. After I started doing this, I ploughed through bits I was stuck on in seconds.
