This guy.

I can see why his father wanted to beat his ass on a daily basis.
I............I........................he looks like someone gave a Martian vague instructions on how humans dress................and what gender wears what
he's not that bad considering the shows I've watched and such

Sure, that was before the incident with the wood chipper ;)

Seriously though, why would you read a Halo book? the story (and games themselves, imo) are so mediocre I feel I might literally be bored to tears attempting it in book form, and this is from a guy who actually does spend a decent amount of time reading.
I have read one book, Halo: Fall of Reach and it didn't suck too much. It was a nice way of deepening the universe of Halo and giving depth to the games since you know more about the past of the characters.
Where is the problem in that? It's not like anyone thinks a book about Halo-universe is going to be the next Shakespearean literatury treasure.

Also, the universe in Halo is quite nice and has a real history which can be studied if the player decides to do so, so saying that it's mediocore compared to a "standard gameworld" just shows that you have propably just kept on shooting at things without even giving any real thought to your surroundings.

Why, Ugly Shepard [http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/105/index/1398049], of course!

That's the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. I can't stop laughing.

OT: Captain Price from the Modern Warfare games. He counts! You play as him for a bit!

Soap McTavish in CoD4 and MW2, even if you don't actually see the bugger in CoD4. Also, no matter what my main character in Dragon Age always turns out to be at least a little fugly.

See that's where you and I disagree. I think there's potential in the universe, as could be explored by books, but the games themselves don't develop any of it and thus their stories are mediocre. I'd say it's every bit as deep as Gears of War or Resistance, which honestly isn't that deep compared to the game worlds created by Bioware, Bethesda (and in turn Interplay, if we're talking Fallout) the Warhammer/40k series, etc. Now I'll grant it's a bit unfair comparing an FPS to RPGs when it comes to setting, but if you want a good game world that's where they're at. More similarly if you compare Halo to, say, Beyond Good & Evil (a 3rd person adventure game) it falls short. So I'll grant it has a better game world than a Tomb Raider or Doom, but all in all it's still reasonably mediocre, and the story as developed in the main games (never played the RTS so I can't comment) is rather lacking

Well, I would have to go with Mr. Fenix. He's just so 'roided up...and that grody little soul patch...eurgh.

Although even he was beaten by a character my brother once created in Oblivion. He set all the sliders to either min or max, and the end result looked like the unholy love child of Hulk Hogan and a sunfish [http://www.greenexpander.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/ocean-sunfish.jpg]. I actually jumped into the air and screamed when I saw it, it was so disturbing. Despite it being not even recognizable as human, there was still a hideous amount of the uncanny valley effect due to the eyes and lips still looking relatively normal, albeit disproportionate and at weird angles. Sadly, I do not have a screenshot.

Tie between...

The protagonist of Bionic Commando, a man who was both bizarre and repulsive (yet somehow made a better figurine than game character...)

and

That one berk (protagonist) from Two Worlds.

The former for art/design direction, the latter for technical ruin.

'Twas a long time ago. I'm sure they were lost in the switch between computers and such. I could probably recreate something similar, though it may scar me for life...

Anything I create with Fallout 3 character editor...
I moved sliders and chose everything at random, the result was a character that I honestly did not like to look at, it made me feel kind of sick. If anybody ever looked like the monstrosity I created I think I would be inlined to kill them with fire out of pity.

Are you serious? I would think this one would be obvious in the running for ugliest heroes in gaming.
