Any civ game.

When I got Galactic Civs 2, I had so much trouble putting it down...>_<

"come on!! I just need 3 more turns and I unlock this new weapon tech!"
"Just one more turn to see how this war will go..."
"Oh no, everyone declared war on everyone! just a few more turns, gotta fix this!"

Etc, etc etc... XD

A new Pokemon game will always ruin my life when it comes out. "Come on self, college tomorrow, get to bed" JUST 15 MORE MINUTES AND THEN BED I SWEAR

Currently I would say it's Blood Bowl. The dice are brutal, despicable things yet I keep playing just one more game and telling myself "I'll do better this time!"

Beyond that I guess it'll be the ol trio of Alpha Centauri, Master of Orion 2 and X-Com: UFO Defense. Can't beat the classics.

RPG's tend to be this, Assassin's Creed frequently does this to me, because the missions are, in a way, short. Even when I should be leaving, I feel like I can just get one more step into the story...

The Total War series, it can get really bad for me, like staying up until 4-5AM, just taking yet another turn, vowing to stop after that.
Very true. I came here just to post that. My longest gaming session was on Medieval: Total War 2. I spent almost 24 hours clicking the "end turn" button. And I normally do, at most, 2-3 hour gaming sessions.

Oh god, oh god. You see what you did? You made me think of Spelunky, which means that the second I'm done posting this I'm gonna waist the rest of my night playing Spelunky over and over again in a futile attempt to beat it. That never works out. And I had shit to do!

Persona 4. Mainly because the turn based combat is fun and the normal battles ususally don't last longer than 5 minutes. Just one more battle...

More recently, it would be Gotham City Impostors. The matches are short and the game runs so smoothly that it's hard to put it down.

Borderlands, untill it became a grindfest for me (from level 47 to 61 just for Crawmerax).
Carmageddon (the first one), especially when I unlock a new level in the power plant area.

Football Manager 2012. God damnit, I will win the Champions League with Dundee United, no matter how long it takes (as it turns out it's taking quite a while)

and Civilization IV or V, for obvious reasons.

Team Fortress 2 for me. In there it's always just one more match. Even though I know full well that it is going to be more than just one more match when all is said and done, I never fail to convince myself to start that next round of ctf on doublecross.

Either any Total War game or Europa Universalis.
Even though Europa Universalis isn't turned based. Just as with Civ or Total War I am like "Just need to finish this!!!".

That and Battlefield 2 have eaten more time because of this for me than anything else. It happens more often with 4x games, but 4x games take a long time because you take a lot more than "just one more turn." An average round of TF2 lasts a half hour, and an average round of Batllefield 2 lasts a full hour, and both games tend to go for best 2/3 or best 3/5, meaning you're there a long ass time if you want to see it through to the end.

Last game that has me like that is Crusader Kings 2 "It's 4 am already I should quit... but just after this year ends" some claim wars and marriages later "Well hello there sun!".

I was like this with the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games. Just one more dungeon... wait, it's WHAT time?!
Ah, yes. How many playthroughs of Red Rescue Team have I done? I lost count. Speaking of that generation of Nintendo games, how about Sonic Adventure 2: Battle and Phantasy Star Online: Episodes 1&2 both for the GameCube? The latter is, in my opinion, absolutely addicting (even though I only play offline with my siblings) and you get to raise Chao [http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k199/solareala/neutral_chao_garden-1.jpg] in the former.

Speaking of which, my younger sister and I have been trying to breed a generational line into all-S graded Chao, and I need to figure out the best course of action for inter-breeding the five chao I have in the current generation. I'm thinking about keeping the three choicest offspring of the lot. It's really handy that Chao have no set gender and don't care about inbreeding, like at all. As a matter of fact, that can result in genetic superiority, as Chao are likely to take the better grades of both parents, and then you take two children and wow, what am I doing with my time?

Eh, everyone's got to have something, I suppose.
I love you for mentioning Chao-raising and PSO in the same sentence. Those two constituted a good chunk of my sleepless nights in high school and about 75% of my ignored homework assignments.

Street Fighter IV (most recent incarnation). Every time I finish a match I always have the urge to do another. Not quite sure why it's so addictive.

For a long time it was AC multiplayer, short matches lead to ...
"Oh it's getting light outside... oh well one more game!"
