Now before all of you say "The Beatles, duh! It says so in the title!", let me explain.

According to Wikipedia [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace_of_Mind/The_Candle_Burns], this song, entitled "Peace of Mind" or "The Candle Burns", was discovered from a Trash Can at Apple Studios in the 1970's. In 1973, it was bootlegged under the Beatles name. However, also according to this site, the Surviving Beatles (Paul and Ringo), as well as their Producer, George Martin, have never heard of the song, and most Beatles Bootleg Studiers deny this being a Beatles song. The Beatles Community also is discussing weather or not this is a Beatles song. Certain people also claim this was an early song by the Band, Pink Floyd, but Syd Barratt denies working on the song.

The song is still currently credited as "Unknown", as well as being credited as "The Beatles". So Escapist community, time to answer an ultimate question: Who wrote and produced this song?

I don't see how you could find this creepy, the only reason it sounds like it does is because of its horrible quality.

Let's focus on the issue here: Who do you think wrote it? The Beatles? Pink Floyd? Some Geeks in their parents basement?

Does it matter? Nothing can be proven, and even if we all agree is X, theres no proof. I'd rather just talk about the song itself.
