This Thread is for the community to highlight the inportant history of The Escapist community.
Naturally who else is better at doing this then the community it self ?
I'll start off with Yahtzee since his addition to the site brought in over 1000% increase in traffic this was good and bad. Good cause we had many smart intellects coming and finding others like them. Bad cause The rest were mainly just Fanboys or the average joe who would post a comment that we could all think off making it a waste of time to read.
Then there is the Escapist celebrities. Those People in the community that everyone began to know for a variety of reasons, ranging from a simply awesome avatar (you know who are/were) or from simply being a great person on The Escapist (We will all miss you Necroswanson).
And who could forget the "Customer is always wrong thread" , Yes it's old but pretty much 80% of the escapist read and posted on it so it definately counts as a inportant point of the history of the community.
My history with the community is a complicated one. When I first came I was ignorant lil bastard who had alot of puncuation problems. But after a complicated 3 or 4 years and maturing at surprising pace as well as becoming greatly wise it should be noted that my addition to the The Escapist was a minor but still relevant event since now I only post Original Threads and post with a smart sense of humour.
These are just a few things. Please it would be much appreciated if you were to contribute to the recording of the history of The Escapist Community.
