Rhee managed to get herself clean, which was a pain after finding out the stream wasn't very deep. She spent most of her time how ever walking back, strolling slowly with a knife in her hand tying to clean out the grooves in her compass. She saw Deslock was busy with someone else so she changed her course.

She was glad she did, ""

Cid smiled at the explorer, "I think I can find that agreement acceptable," he said. Civilization, is that what the humans callde their lands. Full of violence and nonsense to call that Civilization was an insult to his country and the Old Elves. He put it behind him though, there were other things to hate the humans for, rather than their definition of Civilization. He raised his hand to shake Deslocks, "So I'm assuming we have a deal thing?"

Rokya smiled weakly as the tall woman made her way over. The mention of his chest sent another wave of pain throughout his body, but he held on to consciousness. "" He motioned her closer and as she crouched near him he continued in whispered Illarym.

"My name's Tyrone Deslock, by the way," he said. "And to say I'm glad to hear we have actual healers around is something of an understatement."

"Cecia Kelai, professional healer, alchemist an' trainer at ye service." Cecia said, bowing. It seemed that a few of the sailors on the beach were surprised that her, the same elf seen playing the sand earlier, was now acting somewhat serious, this she could tell judging by the number of odd looks she had just received. She paid little attention to these, though, and simply continued speaking after growling at a few of them in return. "It would seem me services aren't required as o' now, seein' as th' cold one is bein' treated while th' other one, while injured, seems t' still be in workin' condition, but I suppose I'll get look a th' lad in a moment jus' t' be safe."

"Just one question before I do that, this ship does be havin' some spare equipment such as pistols, swords, herbs, bandages an' chemicals that I could possibly burrow, correct? I ask this on accoun' o', well, most o' me belongings were lost when th' Osprey met her untimely demise, an' I don't think I'd be any use t' yer voyage if I didn't have th' right materials."

Deslock held up a finger to Cecia, a wordless request for a moment to speak to the other elf.

"So I'm assuming we have a deal thing?"

"You assume correctly, sir," said Deslock, shaking the elf's hand. The flesh was cool, as it always was with these blue-skinned types. "Especially seeing as we wouldn't be getting very much farther without the mast from your ship. Good to keep things nice and legal, eh?" He chuckled. "Now, if you will excuse me for a moment, some of my men are injured and I'd like to speak with the healer...thank you."

He turned to Cecia. "Much obliged, and good to meet you...Ceica, was it? Cecia Kelai? Yes, good. Anyway. The ice-elf is being seen to, yes, but apparently our doctor--that is to say, the representative from the University at Ver Arcana, who just so happens to be a doctor--has decided to remain on the ship. So I would appreciate it if you would take a look at Mr. Nasheel, just to make sure there aren't going to be any...ah...complications." He edged around what he wanted to say, which was "He's been shot in the fucking chest, of course he's not all right." That would not be such a good thing to say to the volunteer healer.

"And yes, we have spare equipment...cheap stuff, but it'll serve, I suppose--well, unless it breaks--hang on a moment...the voyage? You'd like to come with us? You did hear what I told Mr. Cid, yes? That we're not going back to Lorin any time soon?"

Rhee looked down only confused about the question she was just asked, once again Rokya was proving the fact that he was none too bright.

"" She took a seat while letting out a small chuckle.

A look of relief washed over Rokya at these welcome words and he said his thanks as the tall woman sat down. Now with the business at hand taken care of, he laid himself down and tried not to think about the fresh pain throbbing in his chest.

"Aye, indeed I would." Cecia replied, smiling. "This voyage, yer expedition, be nothin' short o' a once in a lifetime opportunity, e'en when takin' into account that I'll likely still be around a bucketfull o' years after yer six feet under. An' I, under nay circumstances, plan on turnin' this chance down." The elf chuckled to herself, having found something she said to be humorous, though exactly what wasn't apparent at this very moment. "Ah, but enough o' that, I suppose I'd be givin' that fella a look, eh?" Cecia Kelai gave a quick bow to Deslock, then headed over towards Royka, trudging up the sand along the way.

"Hey, I reckon ye!" She exclaimed upon noticing the familiar face, a wide smiling running across her lips. "Good t' be seein' ye're still alive, I thought ye got lost in that damn jungle or somethin'! Damn, that woulda sucked, right?"

"Anyway, Mr. Deslock said somethin' about ye gettin' a bullet to th' chest, so...yeah, here I am. Mind tellin' me how ya got shot, first? Not that it matters, really, but I'd like t' know before I get t' work. Just fer medical purposes, o' course."

"Wh...huh? Where the hell am I?!" Tulgrog awoke to find himself under a small pile of rubble, trapped underneath a collection of planks and wooden pillars that fell when the Osprey crashed in the beach. The Orc pressed his arms against the debris beneath him and pushed upwards, lifting it off of his form thus freeing him from further imprisonment. He took a whiff of the air, dust filling his nostrils.

The Orc scratched his head, confused. "How the fuck did I sleep through this?" He mumbled as he stumbled to his feet and searched around the cabin. There didn't appear to be anybody else in the ship, though it sounded like activity was going on somewhere near him. Something gleamed brightly in the corner of his eye, the handle of his weapon, a massive stone warhammer. A wide grin revealed Tulgrog's fangs as he picked up his favorite companion, who had yet to fail him in combat. Once he was sure he had all of his equipment, he began pacing throughout the ship, desperately trying to find an exit. As time progressed, his patience and temper began decreasing rapidly.

With a small roar Tulgrog began swinging his hammer repeatedly at the hull of the Osprey. After he hacked through most of the wood, he ran into it headfirst, breaking through the ship. There was a small thump as the Orc's body slammed against the sand, having just descended over a few stories into the beach below. He quickly recovered and brought himself to his knees, but remained slightly dazed from the fall, but even more so from blinding slight that shined down upon him. Tulgrog covered his eyes with one large, green hand as he slowly adjusted to the outside light.

"Gah, where the fuck am I!?" He shouted, his screams directed towards a small gathering of people he noticed further down the shore. "And why the fuck am I covered in sand!?"

"Gah, where the fuck am I! And why the fuck am I covered in sand!?"

John gazed in amazement at the orc that had materialized in front of him. Quickly wiping the stupid look off his face, he couldn't help but think about what would have happened if the orc had landed on him. He cleansed the thought from his mind. "Well," he said, "Right now your on a godforsaken island in the middle of fuckin' nowhere, and your covered in sand because you just fell 4 stories onto a beach. Honestly, you should be thankful that there was enough sand to break your fall. And since I know your gonna ask this next, I am a member of The Grand Expedition, your ship crashed into the island, no we aint going back to Lorin, you can stay on the island or leave with us to the Unknown Continent. I think that covers it, but if you have another question, be sure to ask somebody else."

"Well, you know how it goes, someone pulls a trigger and out comes the bullet really fast," Rokya answered. "Not too much I can tell ya, just that I seem to remember falling." He tried to sit up but he was feeling very lightheaded and he promptly gave up.

"So I guess you were right after all, about the volcano that is. Lucky I was to get out of there," he said with a half-smile to Rhee. "You didn't happen to see the orange elf, Derlan, while you were in the jungle have you? Sometimes I worry about that guy." As soon as he said it the irony of Rokya's statement hit him like a brick, he just grinned and let the doctor do her work.

"All right, then," Deslock said, clapping his hands together. He looked much more cheerful, now, what with all the healers springing from nowhere and his men looking like they weren't going to die anytime soon. "That, as they say, settles that."

He looked around, and his good cheer was vanquished. "We're still missing people," he muttered to himself. "Still, dammit."

He raised his voice. "I need volunteers for a search party in potentially dangerous territory! We've still got people out there who need to be found!"

"You shor?" Prithis persisted, gesturing widely and bobbing his head up and down in assurance. "Ugly go, easy."

He was, however, unable to convince the ice elf. He waved Kadeam off and turned away, trudging back to the group and shaking his head whilst mumbling to himself. Why on earth the frigid knife-ear would want to keep such unsightly scars was beyond him.

"I need volunteers for a search party in potentially dangerous territory! We've still got people out there who need to be found!"

Prithis glanced at the shouting captain, and then glanced at the sky, scanning the blue expanse with a critical eye. It was as he suspected; all seagulls. So much for that idea. The crew would have to solve their own problem; he'd already spent enough time in the jungle for one day. Besides, he wasn't keen on owing even more seafood.

Spotting Rokya and Rhee, he angled his path in their direction, approaching at his usual leisurely pace. He noticed that a short, familiar-looking elf woman was tending to Rokya's wound. What was her name? Asia? Casia? Aicais? Something with an 's' and a 'c', at least. He had seen her frequently on the Osprey before it's unfortunate bump.

Coming up quietly behind her, he stopped and settled into a comfortable leaning position against his staff. Peering easily over her short frame, he observed the operation with a slightly bemused expression.

"You didn't happen to see the orange elf, Derlan, while you were in the jungle have you? Sometimes I worry about that guy."

"Aye, I reckon seein' th' lad's, now that ye mention 't, although th' orange fella didn't seem t' notice me. He be headed towards th' volcano when I last saw 'em" The elf answered. "I don't think he's still alive, but when I fix ya up, we can go look fer th' lad."

Cecia Kelai, not wanting to continue the discussion much further, began operating on the human, refusing to wait for him to respond or even give the go ahead. As her hand pressed up against the man's chest, sparks of magical energy shoot off of her fingers and against the wounded flesh, the energy dissipating upon contact with the skin. The flesh around the injury shifted at alarming pace, flowing like water one moment, than solidifying the next, continuously in motion as Cecia tried to remove the bullet. It took a fair deal of time for this unusual display of magic to come to an end, but after a minute of playing with the wound to locate the ballistic that was embed below the skin, a silver colored sphere rolled out, and the wound suddenly closed, leaving only a patch of discolored scar tissue in its place. Royka, although having his flesh toyed with, was perfectly fine, at least in the physical sense.

The elf picked up the bullet after fumbling to catch it with her single remaining hand, and held it closer for a better look. It was rounded, though dented, appearing as if it made contact with bone or perhaps even armor upon contact, though which one she wasn't sure. The former was far more likely, considering Royka didn't appear to be wearing any protective gear, but then again, he seem like the kind of man who get shot, either, so both options were still equally possible. Either way, she didn't care, all that mattered was that her patient was still alive, which he was, meaning that something had finally gone right today.

"All done." Cecia said, placing the shiny projectile in one of her many pockets. "Ye, good sir, owe me big time fer this. Maybe ye` could buy me some grog...or a gun, I be fine wi' both."

"I don't think he's still alive, but when I fix ya up, we can go look fer th' lad."

"Wait, we? You think I'd be able to..." his words trailed off as the one-eyed red elf performed her magic. Constantly reminding himself not to look at his own chest as the flesh shifted like fluid, he noticed the satyr silently observing from over her shoulder. The goat man seemed far too interested in the procedure so Rokya stole a glance, and quickly regretted it.

Soon after, Cecia picked out the bullet and Rokya was able to see the dented portion glinting oddly in the afternoon light. I ever get back home I'll have to pay Mr. Gravon a thank you for my vest, he thought to himself. It didn't stop the bullet, probably glanced off a corner, but it saved his life and that's what he needed.

"Ye, good sir, owe me big time fer this. Maybe ye` could buy me some grog...or a gun, I be fine wi' both."

"Cecia, after all that happened at the volcano, you're not the only one short on supplies. But you're right, and I'll see what I can do about payment," Rokya promised. "So, what about the blood loss? Should I go back to the ship to rest, or am I fit to do as needed?"

Something has gone wrong...

Rhee massaged her forehead trying to turn away a headache as the bullet that was so well placed in popped out of Rokya's chest.

""

It was a small stroll to her boss just catching the other woman's, the one that was wearing black, sentence.

"Murder? Dead?"

So...um...who's with me?"

Rhee looked at the orc who seemed to have selective hearing and raised her hand high enough to let him know.

"Think that covers it, but if you have another question, be sure to ask somebody else."

The Orc scowled at John, but remained silent. He never cared much for humans, but then again, they never cared much for him. That was to be expected, though, he never brought himself out as a mannered fellow. Tulgrog grasped the handle of his weapon with both hands, and pulled himself to his feet. He turned to face John, a fake grin spreading across his wrinkled face. "Yes...I will ask another if need be."

"I need volunteers for a search party in potentially dangerous territory! We've still got people out there who need to be found!"

Tulgrog rested the hammer on his shoulder, and made his way over to Deslock and the rest of the crew. "Well, I happen to be the perfect guy for the job! I may as well be of some use! So...um...who's with me?"

"There's been a murder."

"What?" Deslock looked over his shoulder. He took a moment to respond. When he did, it wasn't quite the expected reaction:

"Who are you, again?" he asked. "You're from the Osprey? Well, then." He paused. "It wasn't one of my people who was killed, was it?"

He gestured absently at Tulgrog. "If it isn't one of my men, Riley Lynch would be the man to handle it, I think. I'm sort of in the middle of assembling a search party here. So...thank you for telling me, yes. Murder. Fucking wonderful."
