Unfortunately what I think will happen is a large knife in the story line followed up by terrible fight scenes.

I'm gonna watch it no matter how sucky it looks! And if there is more like me (god let's hope there is not) then they'll watch it too! It was the first game I got along with my PSX and it warms something in me that there'll be a movie! If it's kick-ass then yay, if it stinks then we'll have a good laugh...

Sadly, no. Video game movies are mediocre at best, and I can't really think of any I would actually recommend people watch. That is, movies made *from* video games. Movies *about* video games, ok, well pretty much the same, except TRON and The Last Starfighter. Those movies were awesome.

This is like trying to make a movie out of Pac-Man. There is no way it will turn out well.

That might be entertaining. Pac-Man: Hard boiled detective. The story begins when Mrs. Pac-Man is kidnapped by the ghosts!

Pac-Man has to wind his way through the city streets, eating various fruits and point dot thingies before the final showdown!

Frank Miller should write it.
Of course, Mrs. Pac-Man will be turned into a hooker, but I think we can live with that.

As much as Video Game movies suck, I am still looking forward to this. I like Tekken and I like cheesy kung fu movies.

Also it has Nathan Jones and Lateef Crowder in it =D

Like Dragonball, Tekken is doomed to failure before it even hits the screens...Uwe Boilonthebuttofhumanity has doomed any video game based movie not directed by an award winning director to hit the ground with a sickening thud.

Granted Mr.Boilonthebuttofhumanity didn't start the suckfest that was the video game movie, but he is the one who managed to turn it into a fine art of suck.

Fail. Though mortal kombat at least succeeded in being a marginally okay movie, video game movies tend to be awful. Any movie largely dealing with hand to hand combat tends to be awful. There is little about the combination of video game movie and fighting movie that makes me think it's going to be remotely good.

That said, the near complete lack of story to deal with means one COULD make a decent plot, though it'd largely be lifted from any of a dozen other movies dealing with hand to hand combat.
