Mass Effect 1 Intro / Menu (nailed it):

this gets me every time, it takes quite a bit to get an emotional response out of me for music but damn if this theme doesn't do that. So calming and hopeful, gets me rushing to play it all!

I don't think that was mentioned yet, but that whole theme accurately describes the game and shrinks it all down into one song somehow, I used to love letting the menu play sometimes in the background after I would beat it to think back on some awesome moments.

That first game was an unexpected gem. It still has a unique soundtrack among all the games I've played, even today.

Klepacki's style particularly endured the Red Alert soundtracks to me. There really was nothing like installing the game to that music, then having 'Grinder' start up during the main menu. Fantastic stuff!
