Afternoon all.
So, I got to work this morning and commenced my usual trawling of various sites instead of working as no one else arrives until about a half hour after I do.
So, I went to Banished [http://theawesomer.com/], and have fallen in love. Screw FFXIV, I want this game and I want it now.
I felt the same back before Folk Tale [http://undeadlabs.com/about-state-of-decay/] (a bit disappointed in the slowness of updating as they were so keen before the alpha release, hopefully they patch the game soon) when I first heard about it.
Indie games take a long time, as we all know. So do AAA games. Sometimes they don't even get released and leave us heartbroken.
Another one I'm looking forward to (Anyone notice a trend in my gaming preferences?) is Medieval Mayor [http://tiltedmill.com/medieval-mayor/], but they haven't posted any news since January so I've kind of given up hope that it will be released - that's really disappointing.
I've got a few games I've watched on Greenlight (which is blocked here at work) that I was looking forward to almost a year ago and have given up any hope of seeing or heaing anything more about.
What are some of the games you're waiting for? What ones finally have come out, and did they live up to your hopes? How do you hear about these games, aside from things like Kickstarter and Greenlight? What have you given up on, and why?
