Well, I've been waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3 for years.
Can I wait alongside you, then? I have been waiting to wait with more people in terms of waiting for KH3 since I realized I was still waiting for KH3 to come out...

I also have a massive backlog of games waiting to be played.
Oh right... I, too, have games that are NOT KH that are in desperate need of a single playthrough... *looks at pile* Eh... They can wait, since I'm still replaying(?) KH 1.5 right now...
Well I'll be playing KH 1.5 soon myself, so that backlog isn't going anywhere. It's not like a few more years is going to change the experience.

I'd been waiting about 3 years for Total War: Rome 2.

I learned that companies you trust will absolutely lie to you, and game series you love will burn you.

Witcher 3 is by far my most anticipated title.

After finishing Witcher 2 two years ago, I immediately wanted to jump into Witcher 3 to see how Geralt's trilogy will conclude. I was/am so hyped for that next game it's insane. To satiate myself I had to finish Witcher 2 around 4-5 times.

Another title would be Torment Tides of Numenera. After finally pushing myself to play Planescape Torment for the first time and finishing it a month ago, I loved it so much that I had to go and watch all the videos related to the next Torment game. The feeling I had was like excited and hyped out of my mind to see everything about the next game as possible.

I cannot wait for these two titles and I am happy that Witcher 3 is around half a year away. Other titles that I am looking forward to playing:

GTA 5 on PC
Dark Souls 2
Project Eternity
Cyberpunk 2077
Wasteland 2
Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2
Destiny (if it comes to PC)
The Division
Transistor
Watch Dogs
Batman Arkham Origins
Titanfall

Well Persona 4 Arena made me wait a hell of a long time usually I dont bother getting to hyped for games that are a long way off but with this game I couldnt help it seriously the only way it could have been better for me is if it was FFVII instead of Persona 4 characters.

I heard about it in July 2 years ago I think and followed it from there as it went round the Japanese arcades doing localisation tests etc then it finally hit in Japan and America the week after after about a year of me waiting for a console release. Europe was supposed to be about a week after I believe but then it slipped to 4 weeks and then 2 months and then we hear nothing and finally receive the game 9 months later than initially planned.

Usually I would import if that happened especially over a game I was so hype about but they decided to be asses and region lock it making it impossible (because I wasnt going to buy a new PS3). The games good real good but that wait was a complete piss take.

Only other games I get hype for regularly are any new Soul Calibur games (main series) I dont know why I love the series but I like loads of series so I dont know why I get so hype over this one. Waiting for SC4 was particularly bad as I was in Australia at the time and hadnt played a game in months. I would be reading and re-reading any new details on the game constantly.

I'm much more patient now. I remember back in the day Smash Bros Brawl got delayed like 5 times, the last of which was less than a week from its supposed release and pushed it back like 3 months. That was pretty soul crushing.

Dark Souls 2. Im aching to play the pvp aspect but man that March release... Also its rare for me to consider a game great without playing it.
The Souls series deserves such hype to for its instant greatness.

Games that are confirmed that I can't wait for release are Tales of Xillia 2 and Final Fantasy XV. Persona 5 I hope is coming but with no news I'm suppressing my hype for closer to the release date.

However the ones I'm most impatient for are TitS and Tales of Vesperia, since they're coming in the mail. ToV should be here later today.

Pokémon generation 6, because almost everything I've seen so far I've liked and it's supposed to be LEAK DAY GODAMIT.

Starbound looks pretty amazing, and there's a new terraria update due about 5 months ago now that I'm keeping an eye on.

Oh, Transistor. Never before have I been so sold on a game by it's first trailer. I know it's a bad thing to pre-order expecting greatness but I don't care. I'll pay full price and not care if it's shit because I gave the folks behind Bastion more money.

Dark souls 2 is a day one buy for me, more for the social aspects than anything (play with a friend as we did the first one, hundreds of hours of Jolly co-operation) even if we aren't doing direct co-op the shared experience of discovery (not looking things up on the wiki until afterwards) was amazingly rewarding and I can't wait to experience it again.

Prison Architect DRM-free.

It might not even happen, I'm just going with the assumption that, since all the other Introversion games are on GOG.com, Prison Architect might be headed there too when it's complete. But...probably not.

Still waiting for SMT IV Europe to even get a release date.

... It's never coming, is it? :[
Y'know hopefully SMV4 will be the game where Atlus finally realises that Europe is not a fictional fantasy land but in fact does buy their games with real money.

SMV4 is practically my last shield before I have to come to terms with the fact that Persona 5 will have a shit EU release date. I will have to spoiler dodge harder than I have ever dodged before.

OT: Fuckin' nothing. I only just found out the GTA5's release is the 17th and I still don't really mind it sitting there not being bought.

To be honest, I'm too busy playing League and Skullgirls to bother with anything else, except the new Amnesia maybe. League because want Gold before end of season, SG because i'm terrified of it randomly dying on me like it did on its first release.

I've been waiting for Rune Factory 4 since July. Oh, July. The month RF4 was supposed to release in. Now it's been pushed to October and I'm starting to think it will be pushed again into next year.
Back in the PlayStation 1 days I experienced these set backs, kept going back to Gamestop to see if it was out yet only to be told next it's been pushed back to April, then July, then December... but when I came back that last month the games localization had simply been canceled. Let me tell you I was one sad panda.

It was a Macross game (anime space fighter jet series), Macross VFX or something like that, back when they used to do demo disks with multiple games it was on the same one as FFVIII and I had an absolute blast playing through that one level for hours. What really hooked me was some great innovative design with the camera tracking that dynamically kept you in view of your target or reversed to the dozens of missiles that just got launched on your tail which you could now expertly dodge with precision. Basically the sort of thing that the Occulus Rift will be able to give us with the space sim genre.

The Wonderful 101 for Wii U... And my Wind Waker Edition Wii U. Come on team, UNITE UP!! Sorry, that's just so damn catchy. I got word that it has about 20 hours of gameplay and for that I'm super psyched. The one thing I always dislike about Platinum's titles are they're always on the short side. Six or so hours tops. But 20?! Be gentle Nintendo...

Lets see...

Ace Combat Infinity
Destiny
Dark Souls 2
TES VI
Project Eternity
Torment: Tides of Numenera
Enemy Starfighter

That is just a few. Honestly, there are a lot more. I live my life by hype, in a manner of speaking. I love looking forward to things. So feeling excited for games is a nice way of keeping things positive.

For me its less about 'that one game' and more about 'something new I havent already played to death'.

And thus the wait for 'that one game' tends to restart every 1-12 months (depending on quality of the last 'that one game')

You could argue that really my entire life has been one long wait for X-Rebirth. Going to school to learn english, maths and the manual dexterity to press buttons, early adulthood to grasp basic accountancy and how to use trains, all those hours spent playing other sandbox games that didn't heal the sick and the lame and banish death and pestilence and war and all suffering forever, like X-Rebirth will, to give me the bitter lows that will enable me to fully appreciate it. All of this journey, all of these trials and tragedies that have made up my life, have been part of Egosoft's ineffable plan for me and all of us, whom they love so perfectly.

The last guardian...( I still believe)

Otherwise: Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, Dark Souls 2, FF XV, Soul Sacrifice Delta and Toukiden for the vita, Pokayman on 3ds and well...maybe Deep Down as it looked pretty cool

I'm no more hyped for Half Life 3 though because at this point, it could only bring disappointment
