Guys. It's Kenny. Look at the episode 4 slide. That guys standing behind Clem. That's 100% Kenny. look at his hair..
Or not. Nick was designed in such a way so that from behind, he looks like Kenny. Seriously, check out the season trailers. So many times it looks like Kenny, and then it turns out to be Nick.

I really enjoyed it, I really wish they hadn't killed Omid,Christa's baby, and probably Christa right of the bat. It honestly felt kind of lazy. I also didn't like that you get no hint as to what happens to the 400 days survivors, besides Roman's corpse. Another thing that bugged me is that you learn NOTHING about the overarching plot for season 2 in episode 1. Who the fuck is Carver? Also, I didn't like the pregnant woman (Rebecca?) as a character since she seemed to exist just because every group in a zombie apocalypse needs a antagonistic asshole.

But yeah, besides those complaints I liked it even if some of the scenes were heavy handed in their attempts to make you sad and your choices didn't matter too much.

Choices:
Became BFFs with Sarah (No need to be a dick unreasonably.)
Helped Christa (She is your only surviving friend, why wouldn't you help here.)
Mercy killed the dog (I don't understand why someone would leave it to suffer. It doesn't understand concepts like betrayal and empathy. It had food aggression and attacked someone who either took it's food or never gave it any.)
Accepted Nick's apology (I understood)
Gave the dying man water (I wanted to know who attacked the them and what happened to Christa.)
Saved Pete (Pete had my back when I was surrounded by zombies, when everyone but him and Luke wanted to shoot me, and when everybody though it was wrong of me to steal. It was a very easy choice for me. He also looked like he needed my help more anyways, and in the end Nick survived, so all is well. Loyalty over personal safety in my opinion.)

I enjoyed it a lot. But in retrospect, I think I enjoyed episode 1 of season 1 even more. Season 1 felt like it was moving along quickly while still maintaining a balance of giving you time to get to know characters being introduced. Season 2 feels like it's in a rush to 'shock' the players with action scenes. They are great action scenes, don't get me wrong. My heart was pounding in each one, but I would of really liked a little downtime and a chance for Clem to talk more with the new group.

Still, hyper excited for the next episode. I wanted to wait for the whole season but I just couldn't help myself. The dog and the stitching scenes were brutal.

Also, it's Kenny.

Just finished Season 1 (PC) last night, enjoyed it, played 400 Days (PC) and enjoyed that...then I started in on this game (PC). I've cruised through most of it with not a great degree of difficulty, and then I hit the suture scene. It could be graphic, it could be bloody, but I'll never know because the suture prompts on the PC version do NOT work.

I've consulted what tutorials are available online, and demo videos, and still, this monkey cannot fuck this football.

So pissed right now, I could scream.

For those complaining about the seemingly lack of story direction, let's just get through the second episode before that distinction can be made.

They certainly appear if you use a controller.

Hang on a minute and I'll fire the game up and play with the keyboard and mouse to that section.

Edit: That was easy enough. The controls are that you hold down the left mouse button and swipe the mouse to the right.

First impressions: Kind of wish they had the saves on the cloud or some kind of rubbish. I had to go and download the first game again, and even then it seems like it didn't get the save right. It showed some of the right changed but I really remember giving that guy the almighty pitchfork of justice and apparently the "last time on" says I didn't.
Yeah, I was a little irked by the way little bits of alternate timelines slipped in despite the much hyped "your actions have CONSEQUENCES!!!". For example, Clem remarked at one point that she "once knew somebody who lost his arm", when my Lee never amputated his arm. It was a bit jarring.

But as a final point: Yes, playing as Clementine works. I was worried, I'll admit. Playing as a little girl made me worry that she either wouldn't be strong enough, or wouldn't be able to command enough. But the timeskip to let he grow a little was a good idea, and she's certainly capable to do enough that any other protagonist could have (even if she needs to do a little more work).
I agree, she's a fantastic character. They balanced worldweariness with affability and capability with vulnerability really well. A few naysayers of Season 1 characterised Clementine as just another damsel, or a glorified escort mission, when of course she was neither. I hope those people are eating their hats right about now.

So... did anyone try to burn the photo of Lee or the drawing of Kenny's family in the fire at the beginning? I didn't have the heart to do it, but I'm curious as to what happens.
I burned the drawing. It burns, fire gets a bit stronger, but then you hear Christa and the other group.
That's cold. I didn't have the heart to burn either the drawing or the photo. I thought dumping the log on the fire would make it go out, but it didn't... although that turned out to be a moot point.

Gave Water to the Dying Man (I needed that info and it was just water I didn't have before)
I let the bastard die; he was part of the group that attacked and I wasn't sure if he was bitten or just injured. What happens if you give him water, though?

I find it pretty damn unrealistic that every time you had a choice to save one or the other, the outcome always stays the same. Oh, I saved Doug, oh look, he's dead now anyway. Good thing I saved one of them.
Yeah, he dies, but three episodes later! That's hardly a trivial choice.

Davroth said:
If you subscribe to the idea of fate, yes, I could see why this might see realistic to you, but I firmly believe that everyone forges their own path. And my path through TWD was forged for me. From the very start. I felt like mere audience.
Maybe you were hoping for a more free-roaming or sandbox kind of game. Personally, I liked the way you could interact with the other characters and I think they balanced that against the necessary story railroading pretty damn well.

Resurrecting, but only because I finally played it last night. Hadn't been in the mood until then... and I still kinda wish I'd waited.

Holy fuck, Clem.

There. @Miyenne and I were just yelling as we had to stitch her up. Fuck, that was the worst thing I've ever done in a video game. I'd actually have rather stitched up a wound like that on myself.

I'm not surprised Omid died. But it wasn't all that fun to watch him die so quickly and then - bam! - intro, so we hadn't even started yet. And then there's this even more skeletal Christa 16 months later... and it seems like she's barely spoken and has been dead (basically) since Omid died... and Clem's had to survive alongside her and deal with that and whatever happened to the baby. Ugh.

I did have her throw a stone to distract the bandits, and I fed the dog, then mercy killed it. I was saying that was a horrible thing to have to do when was doing it... and then I had to stitch up Clem.

Also, I'm playing Clem as a bit of a hard-ass - she didn't accept Trigger Happy's apology, which was rare. I also ran to him at the creek, as I saw his uncle's leg. So that could be interesting down the line. She also harassed pregnant lady a bit. And promised to be the girl's friend, which was a scumbag move.

And since I haven't read any replies here yet - I'm guessing in the preview we're all assuming that who she thought was dead was Kenny.

Oh, there have been plenty of other suggestions mentioned - Lily, one of the cannibal family members, Christa.

I were just yelling as we had to stitch her up.
Yeah, I wouldn't have expected a scene like that to be so rough, but my god - it really was!
