The best part is that Boone put out an entire album like that. "In a Metal Mood" is completely worth picking up.

According to wiki it's a type of traditional school dance in America, called so because you take your shoes off. As for the $10,000 dollar part...the plates cost $10,000 dollars i guess? Which sounds kind of absurd. I think if your not American it may make the satire a little less obvious.
Being an American... that made absolutely no sense to me. Of course, being young might not have helped me understand that.

OT: To quote Jack Black, "You can't kill the metal. The metal will live on." This might be satire, but it still sounds very believable.
