Who'd think, in a game with Plasma rifles, Mini Nuke Launchers, Alien laser weapons, and the damn Tesla Cannon, that an old lever-action, muzzle-loading rifle from the 1800's would be the most reliable weapon in a tight spot.
I will never forget sniping 3 raiders from across a lake. 3 shots, 3 sneak-attack crits, 3 kills.

However, If I'm not such a bad ass I would have to say my number one gun of all time is the M1 garand, fast firing accurate rifle from MOH on the PS2, it isn't as fun in cod5.
For melee? I would have to say a simply, a tire iron.
For long range? Barret .50 cal sniper, for those who have played cod4 we ALL remember the .50 cal in campaign.
id probably have the rail gun from quake 2, Experimental MIRV from fallout 3 or one of my favourites the magcharger from timesplitters it can shoot through walls which is helped by the fact you can see them through the walls and i dont think anyone else has wanted it
Dual pistols from the original Unreal Tournament. Back on my playlist, whenever the soundtrack for that Matrix scene in the lobby of the office would randomly play, I was required by all that was good in gaming to switch to dual pistols and begin gunning everyone down with headshot goodness. :tear: I miss 'em.
Mainly cause I'm a pretty shit shot so need something with a bit of spread to it. But they also rock up close and depending on the game you get to see eyeballs and brain matter fly.
