I like the Gunblade. It's classy and it's real.
I second this. Any weapon that allows you to blow off an enemy's head/torso/whatever and simultaneously cleave through them is in its own class of badassery.

Fat-Man Nuke Launcher - Fallout series. I'd use it against smaller groups approaching from the distance or far off fire-fights.

Gauss Rifle - Fallout series. Any instance I'd snipe, this'd be my go to weapon. So cool.

Super Sledge - Fallout series. Badass close range weapon.

Meteor - Final Fantasy series. I assume spells count, and for a wide-spread group nothing seems quite as devastating as this.

Summons - Final Fantasy series. I'd be perfectly happy with FFVI Advanced's pantheon.

Zodiac Spear - Final Fantasy XII. Spears are awesome. This is pretty much the most broken.

High Frequency Blade - Metal Gear Solid 2. As far as melee weapons goes, this would be a decent choice. As long as I have cyborg enhancements, anyway.

The Patriot - Metal Gear Solid 3. Useful for closer range gun-play, never runs out of ammo.

Magatama - SMT: Nocturne. Well, it'd be gross as hell to ingest. But demonic powers are pretty sweet.

Claimh Solais - Castlevania series. Coolest sword I've seen in a game.

The cerebral bore was just amazing, there really is nothing else quite like it.

Damn... ninja'd twice on the Landshark Gun and the Topsy Turvy Grenade. I guess I'll go with the Green Onion from Way of the Samurai 3. That or maybe the Skittles based magic in Darkened Skye. Ooh, or how about the Big Metal Unit in Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal.

HMWP X pistol from Mass Effect.

High accuracy mass accelerator pistol firing projectiles smaller than a grain of sand with artificially increased mass thanks to mass effect fields. Undetectable as a weapon by modern technology. Nearly limitless ammunition. No ballistics evidence left behind for forensics.

Muahahahahaha.

As for myself? I would choose the Rig from Wild 9.
I seriously thought I was the only one who played that game...I loved it and thought that the weapon was pretty cool. More physics/environmental-based killing should happen, I think.

Anyway, here's one I always liked. :)

I think you could only have one per team if I recall, and this isn't the best video of it, but it's the best one I already saw on Youtube...The exploding sheep was great too...

I think the sheer absurdity factor not to mention its destructive power should make it a fine mainstay of any army.

I think of the monkey gun from TimeSplitters: Future Perfect.

A 60 bullet mag fired over the course of 2 seconds, maybe less.

Pretty much any weapon from Southpark on the N64, especially the wierd record player thing that made your enemies sing and dance on multiplayer. Oh and the gattling nerf gun, terrance and phillip dolls and yellow snowballs. Brilliant :p
The Cow Launcher was always my favourite.

It launched a cow which sat on your head until you died.
Damn I wish I still had that game.
