End of Evangelion. Seriously. I hope to god that that wasn't Gainax trying to make an ending that made more sense than the original ending because, fucking hell, it didn't. It was also deeply, deeply disturbing in so many ways.

For me its a tie between BObobo-bobobobo and Gurren Laggan
Bobobo... is just weird
Gurren Laggan has two giant robots one piloted by an emperor and his friends, the othr a species of soul depraved repression-al being lying down naked in a straight line! BREATH IN, who are fighting each other between dimensions then surrounded by all the galaxies EVER(somehow) and sing them as energy disk to hit eachother. With the emperor finally winning by yelling... a lot.
Gurren Laggan bends Physics over a table, Bobobo has a demi god who has to wear a neck collar to make sure he doesn't revert into a baby in mindset. Pick your poison.

Eiken is relatively tame compared to two more recent FULL series, Seikon no Qwasar and Manyuu Hikencho. The former has actually had two seasons, while the other just started this season, but they're both fanservice anime with the guise of some of the STRANGEST stories I've ever heard.CrazyGirl17 said:

FLCL, Dead Leaves, Magical Shoping Arcade Abenibashi...I've seen more but these are the ones that come to mind when someone says name some weird anime. Despite the fact that they're strange, I do like them. Fooly Cooly is probably in my top ten.
Akira, because it was my first taste of anime, and it totally confused the hell out of me. I still love it, and still list it in my top 10 greatest movies of all time, but it was confusing as hell to start watching anime with that movie.
There was another one SciFi had run (back when SciFi was the only place I ever saw Anime) Robot Carnival I think... can't remember it very well but it was hella confusing.

Haven't read through whole thread yet but I will mention Dead Leaves as the most WTF anime I've seen I've seen Furi Kuri, puella magi Madoka magica, excel saga, and puni puni poemi. Seriously I watched 20 mintutes of that and just couldn't watch anymore my brain was just tired watching it, and to be honest it was a bit gross for no reason, nothing like human centipede but I felt a bit weirded out by it... (o_0) kinda like how you have a strong stomach for most things until a 65-something year old hairy tranny (transvestite) flashes you.
Paprika. I don't know how weird other anime is, compared to that, but as the only anime movie I have watched..., well, that is some of the weirdest I have ever seen.
