It had me stunned for a few minutes the first time I saw it.
Thats one of my favorite songs ever. The scratching at the end is insane.

I'm glad this song is being spread.

*waits for their second album to drop.

Halber Mensch. That is all.

It might just be because it's in conjunction with the video.

Howabout you try some Koefoed?

This guy does music like this based around Valve games. Unfortunately, the Gmod video is a little too NSFW for me to post here.

Probably Whitehouse. I don't know what it is, they call it power noise.

Not that anyone but people who pay way too much attention to the split hairs of genres care, but Whitehouse is normally considered "Power Electronics"... "Power Noise" being a handled typically used for industrial techno, or rythmic noise. Bands like Noisex, Converter, Hypnoskull, PAL, Imminent, Synapscape, Mono No Aware, Asche, 5F 55, ... you get the idea.[/small]

I've always felt Current 93 was pretty out there. I'd be lying if I said I didn't kind of like it though.

Giant props to posters for these entries and the artists for the music, respectively.

I nod lovingly at these entries and raise you all an:

Autechre - Gantz Graf

Swans - Freak

Test Department - Total State Machine

Skinny Puppy - Spasmolytic

Current 93 - Jesus Wept

Haus Arafna - Part of Fortune

Throbbing Gristle - Something Came Over Me

It worries me that I know most of them.
Neato. Usually if I talk about these kinds of acts, I'm feel like I'm dropping names into the abyss. It's nice to hear an echo. :)

In small doses it's a great genre. I just wish that the artists would reduce the length of their songs by about half, conservatively. Kinda has the problem that it showcases a cool, super heavy rhythm, builds it up and then... just stays there subtracting and reintroducing elements for the next 5 minutes after a strong intro.
