COD World At War.
as Alistair said to Riordan, ABSOLUTELY NOT. the controls for that game on the wii are fucking awful, and the graphics, ugh...
Oh, well it looked dandy. Plus I haven't got any qualms with the graphics.

Get No More Heroes as a start, other than that I'm not really sure apart from a few first-party releases.

First, ask before using your brother's stuff.
Then, play Super Mario Galaxy, metroid prime, and the Legend of Zelda. Maybe buy some virtual console games too.

They need to give us a game that takes advantage of the the way the sensors work in the wii remote (I mean like how Red Steel took advantage of it) and combine that to the awesome gameplay features with No More Heroes or Twilight Princess

Also, I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Metroid Prime 3: Corruption yet. I haven't played it myself, but it used to be all the talk, so I assume it was decent.
Well several people mentioned Metroid Prime Trilogy which contains Corruption

Little King's Story is an absolute gem of a game and was easily one of the best games released on Wii last year.Should be dirt cheap too as due to poor sales it hit the bargain bins pretty quickly

Super Mario Galaxy-Wonderful levels and an ok storyline, grows on you and very tricky yet fun to master
Legend of Zelda: Twighlight Princess-Awesome story, decent puzzles, very good combat

People already just about told off what games I was going to. Outside of maybe One Piece: Unlimited Adventure and Shiren the Wanderer (the later having just come out).

So here are some games that are coming out soon that you should put on your check list: Monster Hunter 3, Fragile, Arc Rise Fantasia, a new Zelda Twilight later this year, and a few others I either can't remember off the bat or I don't know the release dates to. Tales of Graces (or some random Tales of game) is coming out eventually, as is Dragon Quest 10. DQ9 is slated for the DS later this year. I believe they're all rpgs and adventure games with some form of story... 'Cept for maybe MH3, which is pure awesome.

You should also invest in a game cube controller and memory card, then stock up on GC games you may have missed out on. Such as the first Tales of Symphonia that just about everyone recommends, Skies of Arcadia, and Paper Mario: TYD.

Edit: Oh, and Rune Factory Frontier if no one has mentioned it yet. It makes Harvest Moon and other farming sims absolutely epic with its dungeons and general fun. Yes, you too can beat a giant squirrel to death with a watering can.

Mario, Metriod, Zelda.

Additionally there's Modern Warfare: Reflex Edition, No More Heros 2, Madworld, Dead Space (the railshooter version) and a couple Resident Evil games, including Umbrella Chronicles and 4.

Those should probably keep you amused for ages, I wouldn't go for The Conduit, I'd say only Metriod has managed to make FPS work with the Wii-mote and I only recommend MW:RE because of the multiplayer.
