I bought Wizardry 6-8 as I've been getting into Dungeon Crawlers I missed out on over the years as well as Dreadout, cause scary maybe.
Have you checked out Might and Magic Legacy?

It has a ridiculously wonky engine, but is a "modern release". As in it was a recently released nostalgia RPG looking to mimic the old dungeon crawlers. I quite enjoyed it, although it seems to require a beast of a PC for reasons no one will ever be able to adequately explain.

Again, I've no experience with Dying Light MP, and I'm going off my assumption of TPS, but there you go. One thing, though, is that I think Borderlands TPS is short-ish, at least compared to 2. I don't know how short that actually is and how much of a problem would it be for you. Also, as I said, Vermintide would be a solid choice in my book, still with the caveat that four people party is going to do better.
Thanks again man. I'm leaning towards Dying Light and two copies of TPS (that decision is helped along by the fact that it's half the price of Vermintide). We both recently played Tales from the Borderlands so Borderlands is at least somewhat fresh in our minds.

Been waiting for a 50% off wasteland 2 for a while, then grabbed undertale and downwell, not big discounts, but the green label draws me in...

Speaking of, I did try it and I found it really...I dunno, unapealling. Might have been the slow start, but the grid based movement kind of contributed to that. Now, I know that it was a thing in the past and normally, I'm not really against it, really. However, I was introduced to M&M with number 7 and that didn't have grid based movement. Indeed, it had a pretty high degree of freedom in it - especially compared to other games I had played around the time). Even then, it also had some really funny constraints to movement (the jumping was hilarious, for example), yet at the very beginning, it felt more open and like it offered more freedom straight from the beginning. At the same time, Legacy didn't really grab me and the grid movement felt like an arbitrary restriction - it was like somebody made the engine and then somebody else went "Hey, Alex, can you also make the movement grid based? Thanks".

Well to be fair, I WAS recommending it to the "dungeon crawler" guy. I wouldn't normally recommend it to anyone, due to its ridiculous technical failings and stubbornly old world mechanics. For a game of its type, I thought it was done quite well. Aside from, y'know. All the problems.

Oh I didn't. I honestly don't think they're very good.

Of the 4 games I bought, 3 are currently being asked for to gett refunded.
Atleast Tron 2.0 was worth its money....

I bought the Half Life 2 episodes, as I only played them on Xbox previously. I mainly got them to try the Fake Factory Cinematic mod, as it's maps looks pretty damn great in the screenshots (the playermodels, not so much... Especially the few dozen 'sexy' Alyx types). However, it is a total of 65gb to install, which totally put me off it. I'll stick to Gamebanana skins I think.

I will probably get a few more bits, but having recently moved into a flat and being Christmas money is tight. I might cave, but right now Doom with all it's mods, and Neverwinter Nights 2 with Baldurs Gate and Icewind Dale mods will keep me busy for a while.

But my wishlist of 271 games beckons for me to browse it....

Bought MGSV:TPP a few hours ago(and damn is it awesome so far). Planning to get GTAV later and I was gonna buy Far Cry 4 as well, but it seems that one isn't on sale this time...
Will probably grab a few other games around the 1-10 euro mark, but GTA and MGS will keep me busy enough for a while I reckon - along with my already huge backlog.

Well I think they are. Though I'm 21 year old who didn't get into gaming until the first red alert so meh. Also grimrock is the only game in that genra I've played.

Gaaaaaaah, my wallet!

Argh.

I'm considering a few things. Namely Witcher 3, Vermintide, Elite:Dangerous, and a few animu titles. I'm perusing the selection now, actually...but, man, I already have such a big damned backlog as it is.

This just seems like stacking more straw on the camel.

...Is Fairy Fencer F any good? I dig the Neptunia games, but I dunno.

There was a sale or humble bundle a little while ago that offered just about all my wishlist stuff, so there isnt much I'm looking for, but I saw the "Longest Journey/Dreamfall" bundles for half off, and I've been interested in that series for a little while now so I grabbed those.

Someone said that Killer is Dead is on for 4 bucks, and since I just started watching the Sw1tcher guys play that, I've been wanting that, but I doubt my laptop could handle it. :(

Oh, like the above person, I'm curious about fairy fencer as well.

It's interesting that the sales have turned really luke warm since Steam changed the way the sales work.
To be honest I'm slightly disappointed because I have a list of ~30 games, most of which have been on sale on a random weekend or as a daily deal, but I didn't pick them up because I figured I could get them for cheaper come the "big steam winter sale". They're all pretty much the same damn price, which sucks because I could've been playing some of those games months ago.

I'm interested to see if the culture of "OMG MY WALLET GABEN NO!" will continue with this change, considering the deep discount extravaganza is now gone.

I'll say this for Dying Light MP, it is exactly like the single player. Odd things are whoever is host is what they use for quest progression, so your SP progress wont change if you join a lobby past where you are. Also only one person needs to head to the objective, then everyone else can teleport there. Works well for me since I had friends that would spend hours looting and killing zombies and never touch the quest, but want to platinum trophy the game, so I get to play Mama Duck.

The combat shares similarities (colourful attacks, a bit grindy, you know the drill), and the story is fairly typical Compile Hearts fare: silly, lots of dialogue, lots of cute girls. You do need some tolerance for repetitiveness, but that's not unusual for Compile Hearts games either. If you're on the fence, I think the best question to ask yourself is: do I want to play a Neptunia game that isn't a Neptunia game right now or in the near future? If the answer is 'yes', well, 70% is a pretty good deal and the game overs 25+ hours of content even if you don't plan on replaying it.

Considering I've had to sit out of all major Steam sales for the last few years, it was nice to get into one again. Granted, a few of the games I got were games I already played on someone else's Steam account (on their computer), but I liked them enough that I wanted them for myself.

Overall, I've gotten:

Borderlands 2
Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Portal 2
Postal II
Saints Row: The Third
Saints Row IV
Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell
South Park: The Stick of Truth

Overall, it was a good sale that I'm sure will keep me busy playing (and in some cases replaying) games until the next one, if not longer.

So anybody played sir you are being hunted? Worth the buy if so?
Yes, I have sunk 6 hours into it so far, really cool and different stealth game.

For others: SOMA is worth it at full price, finished it once and I have 9 hours played. Dying Light is also amazing, the 80's B movie inspired soundtrack, the truly frightening nights and interesting story all work really well. Also worth it for the season pass as the next update is almost an entire new game.

OnTopic: I picked up Mortal Kombat X, which I am enjoying a lot though not as good as Mortal Kombat 9. I also picked up The Evil Within as it was cheap and King's Quest episode 1 also because cheap. I feel that the flash and dailies being gone now have taken away from part of the fun. You had to have a strategy what would you wait on? What would you roll the dice and hope for the best? Would this game you want make it to the encore if you didn't jump on it? Ahh well, too open to abuse with the refund policy now.

I was targetting 5 games, and it looks like I'm going to buy 3 of them.

- Game of Thrones (Telltale)
- One Finger Death Punch
- Crookz

The other 2, Soma and Magic Circle, are still too expensive for around 5 hours playing time, so I'll wait for a deeper discount in a future sale.
Magic Circle is worth it. Play the demo if you haven't already and if you like what you play, you'll definitely like the full game enough for it to be worth it (esp. if you go for 100% completion with the secrets and audio logs)

Almost hundred games on my wishlist, but as usual, most of them only have marginal 6% to 20% discount or no discount at all. ...I suppose I've already bought everything that tends to have better discounts. So considering that I already have hundreds of games on my to-play list, I doubt that I'll pick up anything from this sale. There's just nothing tempting enough.
