It's quite simple... Platinum Games knows their shit. They have consistently created unique and interesting IPs, and this title looks to do the same. I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Here, we've got a developer taking RTS game mechanics, combining them with beat 'em up gameplay, and adding third-person shooting and platforming for good measure. On a console.

When was the last time we saw a developer go as completely bonkers when it comes to melding different gameplay ideas and genres together? This looks like the sort of innovation we gamers are constantly crying out for, and yet it is criminally underreported in the gaming press.

From what I remember, all those different game mechanics didn't work so well together in that game. Hopefully Platinum has them figured out.

I don't know, for all it's antics, the gameplay looks very solid and focused. It's essentially another Platinum brawler, but with a twist.

IIRC, SEGA published the original, didn't bother picking it up for a sequel and that's when Nintendo swooped in and gave them all the monies to make it.

This is the greatest gif I have ever seen in my entire life. I am seriously laughing my ass off right now.

OT: It's kinda hard to screw up Super Sentai. One part giant mechas, two parts hammy characters and nineteen-and-a-half parts over-the-top action scenes and you have a recipe for something truly spectacular. It's kinda weird how this game isn't getting more coverage, but then again, it isn't a gritty action game. Or KHIII, for that matter. I'm appalled, but not surprised.

Between this game and Xenotitlepending*, I may just have to get myself a Wii U after all...

Man, that does look pretty fun. Very colourful. But not quite my kind of game. Might get it eventually, Wii U is getting more and more that piques my interest. Especially Monolith Soft's X.

This and Monolith Soft's "X" look like the hypest shit imaginable. Those two games alone are a real convincing argument for me to get a Wii U, nevermind Bayonetta 2 and the obvious slew of 1st party titles being made, announced or unannounced. I'm actually having a hard time deciding what I should get first between the PS4 and the Wii U. Guess it just comes down to which one releases the games I want first.
