"Cait, as we're here, I've gotta ask: what does your Affinity really do? Like, I figure it's something to do with machines or whatever, are you just real good at fixing 'em or can you talk to them like the kid off Heroes?" Ribbon had assumed that the three in the car were probably the least combat-oriented of the larger group, but if Cait had something like an Akira transformation where she grew robot shit out of her arms, she might be more effective in that area than Ribbon thought.
"Goddamn, Jack, you really popped up out of nowhere. When'd you get here, man?" Ribbon asked. It really wasn't that hard for people to come and sneak into the car while it was parked here, and the added capacity to allow for more seating made it so that you really couldn't notice if you were sitting up front and somebody came in through one of the back doors.
"Y'know, maybe sitting still while we're on the run from the law's not a great idea. We should drive around a little. Or in the very least lock the doors."

"I'm mostly just really good at building machines." Cait opened her bag and took out a box. "In here is my current project. It's sort of like a cybernetic hand, only for people with flesh hands, for obvious, testing-related, reasons." Cait held up her pair of fully-functioning hands.
"Haha, shit. Cool toy. How d'you control 'em? Can you make 'em scuttle around like little spiders?"
Cait opened up the box and took out the metal hand, which looked much like a slightly larger version of her own hand. "It's actually a glove, though a remotely controllable version might be a good idea." she explained as she slid her hand inside.
"Look, we're not that far. I just wanted to wait until it calms down. Then, we'll go back for them!"
Clutching her light swords tightly, she sliced downward to create a divide in the fire, just enough to walk through. Maria rush through the divide and attack Tyler with the blades.
Tyler sidestepped and punched Maria in the face. It would feel like getting hit by a champion prizefighter. Only instead of a boxing glove, he had a fist made of metal. Metal that was very, very hot.
Maria laid on the ground for a moment and arose. She got up and spit out a tooth. "Nice one!" She yelled. She rushed foward and slashed Tyler's chest several times. She then kicked where she just attacked to make it worse.
Considering that Maria was probably not very strong and Tyler's armor was very good, he didn't even seem to flinch at any of the attacks. He simply punched her in the face again. "So are you about done?" he asked rather contemptuously.
Ribbon kicked the back of Lester's seat. "Hey, let's drive around and pick up the others. We haven't found anything good here, we may as well move on. We'll go track down Jack and all the others, then I guess come back for Tyler once he's done beating up that orphan."
"Well...Okay."
