My grandfather has been waiting for a win since he came to San Francisco the same year the Giants came to San Francisco. Screw the underdog XPDango said:I was really hoping for the Rangers. My number 1 rule of sports is always root for the underdog.
Boston FTW! Amiright? Everyone here is a baseball fan if not fanatic. But congratulations to the Giants. First win since the 50s right?maddawg IAJI said:Meh, I wanted the Rangers to win (I'm a Red Sox fan, we always root for the underdog), but I really couldn't care either way. Good for San Fransico though, maybe now I can finally watch TV without every show being aimed at the fact that the world series are going on.
Go motherfucking Ravens. The Great Googly said:Yay baseball is over. I guess I am glad the Yankees didn't win but honestly I just can't get myself to care about baseball anymore.
Baseball is a flawed product where the same few times hold a huge advantage over all the others. Football is killing MLB in popularity nowadays. The damne Stealers-Saints sunday night game had higher ratings than game 4 of the World series and were just talking a regular mid season game here.
Uncalled for sir! This is a debate about the World Series. The Phillies were kind enough to lose to the Giants so they could have a chance to win the World Series. You should commend them for what they did.the lapalminator said:fuck the phillies
I know, right? I remember what it looked like swinging and missing at crap pitches when he was playing for the Giants. Hurts. Thank goodness we traded him to the Rangers!Orwellian37 said:I live in Texas and was at Game 4 yesterday, so I has a sad. But still, they were good games.
MOLINA FTW
Wait, wait, wait, wait. There's more to the world than America and Canada?Grilled Cheesus said:I am just going to kick back and laugh at the stupidity of having the "world" series limited to america and canada...
Well finally something we can agree with in terms of sports. Not baseball, god no not baseball, but voting for the underdogs. I mean I'm an Oilers fan and any hockey fan will know what that meansmaddawg IAJI said:Meh, I wanted the Rangers to win (I'm a Red Sox fan, we always root for the underdog), but I really couldn't care either way. Seriously, I am a Phillies fan because I live right outside Philadelphia, but I am just glad that baseball is over. It is such a long season. Too long for me to stay interested the entire time.
