Nicholas Cage. I sometimes wonder if he is purposefully making a mockery of himself. He looks like he's extremely confused the majority of the time and his "angry" scenes are absolutely hysterical.

Ashton Kutcher's acting hurts me, like, right in my soul man. As for female... uh the chick that costarred with him in Friends with Benefits or No strings Attached. Whatever the fuck it was called
Natalie Portman is not shit. She's actually quite a fine actress. OT, I can't really say, I steer clear of most bad movies, so only Shia Lebouf or however it is spelt and the transformers girls come to mind. Maybe Jon Voight as well.

I guess objective analysis doesn't count for too much these days huh?
Not when it comes to a question as subjective as "who do you think is the worst actor?"
And what's the difference between a subjective opinion and a subjective opinion worth anything?
The difference is the thread is asking "Who do YOU think is the worst actor," not "Who do the most educated and well-versed people on acting think is the worst actor." The question defines the opinion that's worth something--the opinion of the one who is answering.

I won't repeat as there are a LOT of people mentioned in this list i agree with... but for me.. it has to be Charlie Sheen.
And yet he's still famous and Emilio Estevez isn't. *sigh*
More like infamous rather than famous, though are we talking about his acting or the man in real life? To be fair when was the last time Estevez was in...well anything(not bashing the guy as I think he's done some great performances in the past)? Charlie Sheen is really only famous/infamous because of all the crazy shit he keeps on pulling in real life and not because of his acting.

Also, how good or bad is his acting? The only films/TV series I remember seeing him in was "Scary Movie 3" and "Two and a Half Men". While I have enjoyed "Two and a Half Men" Charlie Sheen is basically playing as himself, hell the show is pretty much about Charlie Sheen to some degree.

ITT, we discuss who we believe the worst actor currently working in the business is. This is primarily focusing on notable Hollywood actors, so avoid citing B-movie actors (Tommy Wiseau) or actors that most people wouldn't know. The criteria for awfulness is yours to decide, though acting ability is mostly what I had in mind when creating this thread. Just be sure to state why you think they're the worst of the worst. If you want to include one male and one female feel free to do so.

I would have included directors in the title as well, but I get the feeling that Uwe Boll would be a shoo-in for top honors. Regardless, you can throw some directing names out there if you so desire.

My vote goes to Sam Worthington.
Agreed. Can he do any acting for once? That Australian accent of his (I'm Australian), in every, American, Greek, or Irish role makes me see red. And that fake Irish bit in Terminator Salvation made me bleed. Actually, he was good in Rogue, but that was probably because he was playing a redneck Australian.

The only correct answer is Hayden Christensen.
He's not even funny bad, like Tommy Wiseau, or "let's make some money by phoning this shit in" Nic Cage.
He's more "Oh god don't touch me there" bad.
It's horrible.

EDIT:
Scratch that.

Alright, here it goes.

The cast of Transformer's movies that played humans. No emotion.

The cast of Twilight. No emotion and terrible screen play doesn't help the fact that there is no emotion.

The Rock because everything he's in he's literally the same man. He can't do much but say how much he loves family values.

The man who plays Tony Stark. The point of Tony Stark was to be such a unlikable prick that when he got into the suit you either hope he crashes and dies or does something amazing to make up for being a prick, not be a prick all the fucking time.

Man who played Scott in Scott Pilgrim VS The World. I just kinda don't like his face and he plays whiny to realistically.

Vin Diesel, but hes the type of bad I like.

Thats all I can think of right now.

Michael Cera. I get that some people are charmed by his awkwardness or whatever but most of the time I just see him as this gawkward chinless guy with a timid voice that sounds like his lungs are trying to suck the sound-waves back into his diaphragm. He comes across like a labradoodle that's been house-trained but you just know he's going to piss all over the rug anyway.

As for actresses... look I'm not going to say Kristen Stewart because I reckon she had the makings of a good actress but the Twilight films just sucked it out of her. I actually feel sorry for her and Pattinson. Not Taylor Lautner though because he seems to still enjoy it.

I'm going to go with Eva Mendes. She seems so plasticy and false in everything she does. Every time she's on screen I just feel repelled from her and everything that's going on. I'm can't even remember the name of any character she has played because she's never made any of them memorable. In terms of effort she never seems to get out of second gear; 'I'm the sexy Cuban girl from Miami I don't need to get people to notice me, they just will.' Yeah Eva, that time has lo-ong passed.

Taylor Lautner.
Kristen Stewart.
Michael Cera.
Jonah Hill.
Ashton Kutcher.
Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf.
Will Farrell.
Ben Stiller.
Eddie Murphy.
There's a few more, but my bile filter is maxed out at the moment.

Kind of depends. If you just give your opinion, seems like people will just leave you alone. If you give a reason for your opinion, people will attempt to explain how your reasons are terrible, invalid, have no merit whatsoever, and you're obviously an idiot for having them.

The opinion becomes more of an interpretation of subject matter. The only opinions worth anything are those that agree with your own.. I guess.

Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher irks me. and I don't really hate actors/actresses.

I'm really more of "I hate this singer/musician" person.

I thought Jonah Hill was pretty good in Moneyball. I was actually surprised.

Also, he can actually act. But no one pays him if he does. Fo realzies

I'm gonna go with... John Cusack, or that guy who hasn't actually acted in any film he's been paid to act in since American Beauty. The dad.

It's not about whether or not you agree with someone. Its whether or not you can respect their reasoning. "Brad Pitt is the worst actor ever because he eats in all his films"...

Really, this is the reason he is the worst actor in a list Hollywood? I guess I should bow down and respect this persons opinion as much as someone who writes three paragraphs explaining how Brad Pitt fails to convey emotion or has wooden facial expressions or is unbelievable as his character for x, y, z reasons?

Sorry, but some opinions deserve to be called out and questioned/ridiculed when posted on a public forum.

Lots of Michael Cera and Shia LeBoeff hate. They aren't the best actors but I consider them far from the worst.

Quite a lot, if they are convincing enough to influence other opinions. The opinions of professional reviewers, for instance, are worth quite a bit, because consumers are willing to spend based on what the reviewer says.

Then again, this is just a silly question about bad actors. So pretty much anything that's going to be said on this thread isn't going to be worth a damn anyways. That isn't a problem.

Kevin Spacey and John Cusack? Harsh. John Cusack is a weird one though. He's practically never won a significant award, but he's played leading man in a lot of good films. I think it's because, unlike Labeouf or Worthington, he doesn't really get in the movie's way. He has a decent on screen presence and can carry emotional tension well, but doesn't really steal the scenes that he's in. I liked 1408 and Grosse Point Blank (his performances included) way too much to call him a bad actor though.

Kevin Spacey has played in a lot of mediocre movies recently, but I think he's proved his acting chops too many times to really be called bad. Besides, I think it's obvious he can still act when you compares his performances in films like Margin Call, Men Who Stare at Goats and Horrible Bosses, IMO.
