The example I'm giving is what inspired this thread.
I'm refering to a recent videogame "debate" on The Alan Titchmarsh Show, which included CVG editor Tim Ingham, actress Julie Peasgood and former The Sun editor Kelvin Calder MacKenzie.
Alan began by refering to the videogame BAFTAs (and called CODMW2, COD2MW), and saying that the industry had "recently" come under fire for it's mature content.
While Tim spoke perfect common sense throughout, Alan and the other two guests just demonstrated their complete ignorance of the subject.
For example, Tim pointed out that games are rated the same way as movies, Alan retorted that kids could play violent games at home instead of being stopped at the cinema, ignoring that the same point could be made for films on DVD/Blu-Ray and that parents have the responsibility of insuring that their children are not exposed to content outside their age-range which is clearly indicated by the age certificates.
Mention also goes to Glenn Beck on GTAIV and just about anything involving Jack Thompson
