I'm going to show my age a little bit and break it down over the computers/consoles I've owned over the years :)

Atari: I don't remember the name of the game, but it was a weird knock-off of Centipede that my mum picked up at a market for about £2.50. No box, just a hand-written sticker on the cartridge saying it was a Japanese import. It was horrendous!

ZX Spectrum: Defenders of the Earth. (It was the first licenced game I ever bought, having LOVED the cartoon, and it was hugely disappointing.)

NES: Hudson Hawk. (Awful, just awful.)

Master System: Space Harrier. (It should have been amazing, like the arcade, but it was buggy as hell.)

Megadrive: Altered Beast. (One of the dullest pieces of software I've ever played.)

Gameboy (inc. GB Advance): Mortal Kombat Advanced. (*cries real tears*)

SNES: Super Ghouls and Ghosts (The first game ever to make me break a controller in anger!)

Dreamcast: Toy Commander (I actually loved most of my DC games. This is the only one I remember hating.

Virtual Boy: Everything. I sold the thing after two days because it gave me horrendous migraines.

N64: Megaman 64 (WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY????)

Playstation: Tunnel B-1. (Couldn't seem to buy the damn console anywhere without this being included. Was immediately seen in vast numbers in every swap-shop and second hand store in sight)

Playstation 2: FIFA 2008 (An absolute dog of a game.)

XBox: Celebrity Deathmatch (A girlfriend bought this for me as a present. It almost ended the relationship there and then! :D)

Nintendo DS: Lego Star Wars 2 (This was the game that finally inspired me to never touch any Star Wars game ever again until someone gets around to making a new Tie Fighter game)

XBox 360: Ninety Nine Nights (Urgh! Boring, repetitive, horrible.)

Playstation 3: Bioshock. (I'm not saying this to be controversial. I actually hated this game. The atmosphere and design and whatnot was great, but the gameplay itself was horrible. It's just a frantic FPS wearing fancy knickers and pretending to be something it's not.)

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Bad writing, bad gameplay, bad controls, bad level design, bad art direction, and a sea of technical errors. Oh, and pedophilia.

In short, that game was BAD. And creepy.

Runner-up is Lost Odyssey, for reasons I think each and every one of us are familiar with on some level.

Bionicle The Game. Worst shit ever.
Third place to that.
YOU good sir never played the adventure of Link. Nintendo dosnt even like to say out loud that its part of the series its sooo bad

Edit...thre is a reason in some Zelda game if you name the character Link it suddendly gets ALOT harder and things change
BOY! I slap you! its different, but it isn't on any level bad.

fuck hard as hell though...
Ooooh, HT Black, you have made me mad with newfound fanboy rage!!!! You can't seriously fucking say that Twilight Princess is the worst game ever made? That's just idiocy on your part, it is CLEARLY not the worst game of all time. Much like Halo. Uninteresting, but CLEARLY not a bad game.

I loved Twilight Princess. I mean sure, the writing was quite bad. And yes, they screwed up the Twilight aesthetics, but the story was very good, the graphics (considering) and gameplay were great, and the art was beautiful.

WAIT. Pedophilia???? Where??? You mean Midna? Or... Ilia? I'm pretty sure she stayed fully clothed the whole time...

Okay. So pretty simple.
What is the worst game (In your opinion or the Hive Overlord that lives in your house's opinion) that you can think of.
Of course saying why it is so bad, and if it is or is not so bad it's "Good" would be a cool thing to say too.
Mine?
The Last Remnant.
Frooze so much that I swear it was doing it to spite me, and I just couldn't have fun with the combat system.
So, what is the worst game you can think of?
Guessing you played the 360 version? Saw the Unskippable for that and simply the amount of time it took to load the Gae Bolg firing scene would put me off. However, on the PC everything runs smooth as the Cole-train and I don't think it's crashed once in over 100 hours.

Out of the games I own the worst are probably either Ninety-Nine Nights or Lego Star-Wars. NNN could have been fun but the lack of mid-level save points killed it. And Lego Star Wars is funny and interesting at the start but then it repeats itself over anv over every 30mins.

Worst of all time, probably Superman 64. Either that or one of the bugged-to-hell games you occasionally find which just doesn't work.
The problem I have with these threads is too many people like to take a trollish swipe at games they just don't like. I'm not a fan of Bioshock or MW2, and I've never played FF 13, but I seriously doubt they are the worst game of all time ever in the history of everything. At most they would be average. There is so much out there that's worse than that. Like Army Men games.

When I think about it, I'd personally say ninety nine nights as I god damn just hated that game so much after an hour.

Otherwise, it's likely something like ET, though i've never played it myself.

Bubsy 3D. It was around this time that I noticed the pattern of really shitty games being foisted upon me by a certain friend who would walk out of the room after telling me how great the game is, and I can imagine they were probably snickering at successfully conning me into playing a piece of shit.

Oh well, at least I revenge'd them by making them sit down and play Daikatana even if the joke was sort of on both of us since I made the mistake of actually having expectations for that one.

I'm sorry, Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing? Could that even constitute as a game?
Its more of a test in ones overall sanity levels. Play for more than 5 minutes and there is something very, very wrong with you.

OT: Final Fantasy 13 (excuse me,going to build my wallof fanboy protectioness

I was going to say "E.T." but was ninja'd. Then I thought "Spuerman 64" but was ninja'd again. Then I thought "Daikatana" but was ninja'd a third time. So all I'll say is "Damn, you guys are good!"

Them's fightin' words. I get that this topic is all subjective, but to call a Zelda game, ANY Zelda game the "worst game ever made" is barbecueing a sacred cow. And inferring that Twilight Princess involved in pedophilia? Sir, that kind of accusation is something you can't throw out there without explanation, so I'd like to ask for one.
Someone is slamming a Zelda game that isn't from the CD-i series (which don't exist anyway, but that's not the point)?! If you need help defend the glory that is The Legend of Zelda, count me in.

The worst I have actually played is Superman 64. It was back when I was younger, I just remember being confused, wondering about the controls, so confused....

Perhaps it's just me, but when asked to name "worst game ever", nothing really springs to mind.

I can think of loads of games I personally haven't liked for my own fucked up reasons and games I've been disappointed by, but nothing I can think of as being fundamentally awful.

I suppose though, if pressed, I would have to give Mass Effect the award, largely because it personally offended me with its inability to autosave on top of all of its other issues.

Worst game I ever personally played (because let's be honest, most of you mofos haven't ACTUALLY played the games you're listing) was a PC shooter called Soldner. Primarily a multiplayer shooter, it boasted drivable vehicles, destructible environment, and the largest assortment of weapons in any game. Sadly, the driving was slow and unwieldly, the destructible engine was lacking in realism (one of those engines where the building would fall apart in pieces, so you'd just effectively be ramming it over and over again with your tank til it was gone kind of thing), and the weapon selection, while very large, was uninformative as to why you should choose gun A over guns B-Z, much less guns 1 through 1000. Goddawful game; was the last one i bought without doing research first. Completely regretted the damn purchase.

That I've played, Bubsy 3D. After five minutes the colour scheme makes you feel sick.
And the controls and level design are pretty putrid too.
