The worst I've played was Oblivion. The bland scenery, broken mechanics awful dungeon design, psychic gaurds, radiant AI, pooor quest design, terrible story, truly painful voice acting and the huge ammount of bugs. It's honestly the worst designed game I've ever played.

Sorry to all BioWare fans, but it'd have to be Dragon Age Origins for a very simple reason: IT IS LONG AND SOMEWHAT BORING. The combat system wasn't really engaging or fluid, but the game did make it fun to kill things. The game is just SO SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWly-paced. I finished 3 endings and did ~20 hours total before the boredom struck. Also, the combined price of all the DLC is enough to pay for a Lamborghini (sp.?). If you don't agree, feel free to respond.

Too Human and Two Worlds... No amount of words can describe the amount of pain just playing them.

Sega Superstar Tennis. Maybe I just never got into it, but I absolutely didn't like it. Also, Beautiful Katamari, also probably because I never really got into it, but I was having a terribly hard time on the early levels

Kane and Lynch 2. I didn't buy the game, the demo itself convinced me that the game was not worth buying.

Mass Effect 2.

Nah, in all seriousness Operation Flashpoint 2.

Its not so much bad, just not good, at all.
Unless you play Co-op, but noone has the damn thing in the first place.
My brother and my mates played it Co-Op: It was heaps fun =D

On that note: Arma II. One of the buggiest games of them all. So unfinished. Couldn't even configure my controls properly. And I payed like, $60 for it.

I remember Sega Superstar Tennis, although I kind of wish I didn't.

I also just thought of Turok which was just a brown and red mess of a game

Worst game I've played? Honestly, probably Brutal Legend.

I was SOOO looking forward to that game. On the surface, I love the premise. You're Jack Black trapped in a heavy-metal world where you get to use the powers of rock to smite your enemies? That sounds several tasty varieties of epic.

The demo lead me on even further, leading me to believe it would be a hack-and-slash type game with an emphasis on team-ups and boss battles.

Then I actually played it. What a freaking bait and switch. After only a few short hours, the game basically turned into a straight-up RTS with limited options and even more limited control. I'm not a huge fan of RTS (except for Starcraft), so this was like drinking a glass of fine wine only to discover it's actually piss.

And before anyone gets on me that, "They said it was going to have RTS in it", that's still no excuse for leading me on with that demo. A demo is supposed to ACCURATELY reflect the gameplay, and Brutal Legend's demo failed so hard in that respect it hurts.

I'll admit that the comedy was good at first, but it quickly got tiresome.

Man, what a letdown.

These threads...it's always mostly a bunch of one-uppers listing popular games.

My personal worst game of this general was MLB 2K8. My outfielders constantly ran through the wall, letting the other team get many triples and in-the-park home runs. Fielders make a ridiculous amount of errors, pitchers completely missed the catcher, catchers failed to catch, 10 home runs in a game was routine. The controls were awkward, the season mode glitched routinely and made me readjust my lineups every game, and it would shuffle my rotation around so that a starter might pitch two games in a row.

What a train wreck. 2K Games is freaking awful.

Wow, most of you are clearly either trolling or have never played an actually bad game. Sorry, "being long" or "I didn't like the art direction" probably doesn't throw these games on even the top 100 for this console generation.

Far Cry 2. I hated it. Just HATED it.
It was pretty shit. Just simple things for me in that game like, the enemy drove their car 100x faster then you. You had to have a gun out at all time. I'm not sure what it is about open world games like that, but the ability to holster my weapon goes a long way.

The bodies looked so nice, it would have been fun to see bullet holes in them after emptying a clip. Although that's just my bloodlust saying that.

There were a lot more things in that game that ground my gears.

probably resident evil 5, simply because i hated everyhting about it. the slow movement and the akward aiming and melleing. i should point out this was the first resy game i played so i'm not sure if this is a staple of the series but it was just annoying.
I didn't like it much either. And no RE5 isn't really anything like previous entries (except for 4, but that was an excellent game). The old games were great. Atmospheric, scary, good puzzles, and better story. They used tank controls and fixed camera angles.

I would probably say Martian Gothic. That game was just bad. Awkward, clunky controls which spilled over into the combat, terrible voice acting, a confusing system of switching between 3 characters, and it was buggy.
