While it wasn't a bad movie, The Conjuring. I didn't see a whole lot of movies this year, and that one sort of loses by default because I enjoyed the other ones I saw.

I actually kind of liked the Hobbit; while it falls very short of the quality of Lord of The Rings, and I feel a lot of it could have been done better, I still had a good time watching it (the second one).

Pacific Rim was a VERY dumb movie, but was one I enjoyed watching a lot. I find movies easier to enjoy when they're not pretentious.

I found Despicable Me 2 pretty funny

I think I saw another movie or two but can't think of them at the moment

I dunno I really only saw movies I was looking forward to and none really upset me.

I guess either Ender's Game or Man of Steel. For Ender's Game it was basically great until near the end when surprise ending was spoiled by its own effects budget, hoist with it own petard I guess ('cause of all the explosions!). Movie was still really good otherwise. Man of Steel was...well... not Superman, just some guy that has the same powers as Superman and wears the same clothes as Superman but just didn't feel right. Maybe it was because they had to make Superman all dark and gritty to be hip for the kids or maybe I just like my Superman as not a murderer but either way I felt it was a good movie but a terrible superman movie.

In short, I didn't see any movies in the cinema that I felt were actually bad this year. Like last year I only went maybe 6 times so not a good ratio of films...WAIT! WAIT I saw Elysium in the cinema!

Okay; Elysium was bad, b-a-d, bad. The plot was so stupid. Warning possible spoilers beyond, not that anyone should care. There is a machine that literally takes nothing to heal any possible sickness in a matter of seconds and those aren't made public why? Don't give me that "They are made on the space station" crap either since we clearly see that all the manufacturing is done on Earth. No one ever thought to just steal one of those off the production line? Seriously, a dumb movie with mediocre special effects, terrible practical effects, a generic poor vs the rich plot with no substance at all and it wastes the talent of everyone involved, a total waste. I expected so much more. It is very forgettable though as I actually did until I started writing this.

>_>

I am honestly not sure I SAW a film in theaters last year (I blame Netflix).

If I did, it would have to be that by default, no matter how good or bad it actually was.

Twilight. The first one.

Yes i saw that in the movies. Friend of mine asked if i wanted to see a flick called twilight (it was COMPLETELY unknown then) When i asked him what it was all about he answered; "a war between vampires and werewolf."

Well that can't go wrong i though.

How wrong i was.

I don't go to the movies that often anymore, and usually it's a film i'm interested in seeing or looking forward to so i don't ever go to movies i think that will be bad. Or at least, that i won't enjoy them.
How did you not hear about? Just on this site, it has been mentioned, and made fun of in half the official videos. Everyone talks about how terrible it was. How did you miss hearing about it?

The Dyatlov Pass Incident

Found footage movie that makes the same mistake as most Ff-movies do: The Characters are not believable, the story is boring and the scares consist entirely of jump-boos and shakycam.
Zero stars, avoid at all costs!

Didn't actually see them in the cinema, but my top worst goes to:

-Hangover 3. Not funny in the slightest, they decided to focus on Leslie Chau (a one-joke character), and Alan went from being "awkward but funny doofus" to just being an asshole. And the oddest part? The movie didn't even have an actual Hangover!

-A good day to Die Hard. Christ will they please just let this franchise die? It's so sad to go back and watch the original, awesome "Die Hard" and then see what it's turned into.

-Spring Breakers. Someone posted it earlier and hit the nail on the head: even at 92 minutes, this movie felt insanely long. I can't describe exactly why, but this movie just didn't click with me. I think part of it was because it took a concept that could have been kind of funny and tried to make it way too serious.

I've seen three movies in theaters this past year, Hobbit 2, 47 Ronin, and that Evil Dead Remake
And, as incredibly stupid "Keanu Reeves, Samurai Warrior" is, I had a much better time watching that than I did of a horror movie that is more hilarious than scary. Then again, 47 ronin was pretty funny too.

Man of Steel. I've never been so personally offended by a movie. I remember tearing up at the trailer because it was so glorious (and because I'm a huge loser), but GOD, was that movie awful. Anytime someone tells me they enjoyed it, I lose respect for them and their opinions, because CHRIST.

The only film I saw in the cinema last year was Riddick and I didn't mind it, however, I rented Man of Steel and that was a massive waste of time and money, I mean, I like DC (where's my Wonder Woman movie Warner Brothers?) but that was beyond a joke.

Olympus Has Fallen, wow that was such a boring movie. It plays less like a movie and more like a patriotic cliché checklist.

The characters were practically nonexistent, the storyline was stupid and it has some of the worst shaky cam I've ever seen. I honestly can't really remember much else about it, only that if it weren't for being dragged out to it by friends, I would have never even have considered watching it.

Man of Steel tore my soul apart, I cannot forgive how absolutely horrible it was, much like the 9/11 imagery it used, it's really something that I'll never forget.

Enders Game, was without a doubt one of the blandest movies I have ever seen. The only good stuff came at the end, and talk about missing the keypoints and character traits from the book by miles.

Man of Steel, by a long ways. I really couldn't figure out if it was trying to be a "found footage" style movie or if it just wanted to try and convince everyone that it was an "indie" as opposed to the big budget summer blockbuster that everyone KNEW it was... but all that shaky-cam. Just unforgiveable.

I saw most of the big movies that came out last year minus Man of Steel because I knew it was going to be awful. The worst was without a doubt Star Trek Into Darkness. Saw Iron Man 3 right after in a double feature so that made it seem a lot better.

Now I only saw two movies in theaters last year, those being Oz the Great and Powerful and Gravity.

And yeah, Gravity was pretty shit. One of those rare movies were I had to contain myself from publicly ranting at the screen. If this is a realistic depiction of astronauts, it's no wonder the NASA space shuttle program got shut down. I mean, a fire extinguisher? Really?!

Iron Man 3, if I could go back and talk to my past self I would tell him not to watch it and save the disappointment.

Probably the second hobbit movie. Don't get me wrong. Was good, I enjoyed it, but disappointing. Saw Thor. Riffed the entire movie with friends because we were the only 3 in the theatre. Enjoyed oz:the great and powerful. Enjoyed last Vegas. Think that's all I saw. ...monsters u, the croods, and epic I saw on dvd and enjoyed them. Turbo and planes I saw at home and I was not drunk enough to enjoy either.

Everything else I saw either netflix, DVD, or blu-ray and enjoyed most if not all of it. There were a lot of things that came out last year that I wanted to see but never got the chance to. .. unfortunately.

But seriously. Turbo. Snails racing. I don't think there is enough alcohol to make me like that movie.

I'd have to say Behind the Candelabra. Sadly it's very hard to be constructive or objective with this film because everyone assumes you hate it because it's about a gay relationship, but actually it's just a colossal pile of ass.

It does a good job with immersing you in Liberace's world and the acting is fine, but every character is a horrible, miserable and constantly angry git who it is impossible to like (except Scott Bakula's character) and the story can't work out what it's trying to say, side with or care about.

A Good Day to Die Hard

well...if this would've just died hard...

i sat in the movie and i knew as soon as i'd walk out of it nothing will be memorable. just a poor excuse for a die hard movie even after the one before this.

apart from that i only saw good ones :D
