Reality tv shows AND Jackass - bunch of idiots get famous and rich for doing stupid shit? of course, it requires no complex thought or deep thinking on behalf of the audience - watching somebody get hit in the balls.

Cash cows, that's all they are, all they ever were. Fuck these dysfunctional, insecure, hollow and dignity-less people.

The Swan

The Jeremy Kyle Show is one of the most hateful 'get idiots on TV to shout at each other in front of an idiot shouty audience' shows I've ever seen. It makes Jerry Springer look like Newsnight.

Okay, it causes me physical pain to write this, but for those of you that don't know "The Swan" was a Godawful reality show (on FOX, of course) that gave what they considered hopelessly ugly women very extreme makeovers by giving them at least a dozen different types of plastic surgery. And then they made all of the women compete in a beauty contest against one another. This idiocy apparently went on for two seasons.

I watched one episode and I felt like a bastard afterward. Considering that this aired in 2004 that means I was 13 or 14 years old. At least I was smart enough back then to realize that I was suppose to be appalled.

The Swan would get my other vote, and in fact would beat out Kyle for actually physically mutilating women for entertainment. Didn't Saw and Hostel get condemning for fictionally filming this stuff?

If there's any brits on, I thoroughly recommend 'You have been watching' on Channel 4, hosted by Charlie Brooker, they covered Jeremy Kyle, The Swan, and the amazingly stupid 'world's deadliest' which sets up fights between 'famous warriors' like pirate vs zulu warrior, ninja vs spartan, etc. then use reenactments and computer simulations and weapon tests to determine a winner.
