Okay, let's get this straight, I have been playing WoW for about half a year now... I have 1 level 80, a twink healer who I had started last week, and now my time ran out faster than I thought. I decided that this was a sign to give WoW a break over christmas, but CHRIST! I am 2 days in and already feeling the pressure! I have been playing lots of things to help but they don't work! Oblivion, Fable, Fallout, the MANY free MMOs, but they just all feel so minor.

QUICK EDIT: Oh I forgot to say, Digimon World also doesn't cut it for me, which is a surprise, considering my Avatar, My love for it and all.

I am not spending any money until 2010, so does anyone have any tips to help me through this? My current games have no more appeal to me and I have downloaded all the Demos recently (Regretfully Army of Two: The 40th Day) and they just don't cut it.

Help a bro out, 'kay?

Go have some fun outside?
Masturbation?
Borrow some games from a friend?

Dunno, sorry, never been addicted or anything. The Age of Conan thing is pretty good, however, if you get it now, it's free forever! (At least, the first 20 levels or something.)

You know... putting it like that in that awfully grammar cluster of words does actually make me want to play the Wii for once...

Get your computer fucked over.

You won't be able to play until you get it fixed.

Your 'need' for it wears off.

???

PROFIT!

Uninstall it completely.

The sheer wait time to reinstall it and patch the entire thing will keep most people away.

Or, you know, grow a backbone and actually stick to your convictions. That works too.

You're going to be bored until you find something else to do. Try watching random videos online or looks for new webcomics.

Play a good game. But then you might get addicted to that... Hmmmm. I recommend Fallout 3. Try getting into it. It took me half a year to "beat" that game, using the word "beat" loosely, as you can't really complete it 100%.

I don't understand how people get addicted to WoW, I played it for an hour, then quit. Crappy gameplay, even worse graphics, and more idiots then can be found is Halo 3 Xbox Live.

Yes because graphics make the game. And the community on my server is generally quite friendly towards new players. If you don't like MMOs then they're not your type of game. That's fair enough. But don't go putting them down for stupid reasons.

Remember this about WoW: All the goals are false enticements. MAybe you got a +5 Sword of Norgoth as a rare quest reward. If so, how does that help you? Well, now killing enemies is easier. And you kill enemies in order to complete quests. Which give more items, and experience. This then grants you........

Nothing.

There's no light at the end of the tunnel. In any MMO, you always feel you're progressing towards something, but you're not. The developers just ensure there is no ending, to be sure you're always enticed towards "what happens next".

Yeah this is kind of what I did. However less severly I went to the change email address screen and made myself a fake email address. I then changed the password to the WOW account and my Email address by slamming my head on the keyboard. Therefore if I wanted to get on wow I couldnt.

I suggest just buying lots of old games or borrowing a few of a friend. Thats what I ended up doing anyway.

Don't just freaking stop bang right like that it never works, you always go back if you just stop on the spot, play it less and less everyday or do the same thing everyday,(maybe the same mobs or just walk about ironforge w/e doing nothing) then you will eventually be able to stop. It worked for me and i'm all clean.
