I;ve been a member here for a little while and every time I post I tend to draw flames (jokes about my hawtness ignored) but it made me stop and look at myself and as it turns out, I suck at this, My main reason for posting this (sorry it's not a poll as I wish for discussion and to see if anyone else is like me) is because I am a rabid Xbox fan who hates Halo, Gears of War and generally every other generic crap that 360 users are credited as enjoying (at least on here and nearby links) and I absolutely refuse to get or participate in Xbox LIVE. So should I just quit gaming? There's literally ONE game I would play on PS3 (2 when heavy rain comes out) and the Wii is just depressing to me. What do you think that doesn't involve me pissing off?

Well, what kind of games are you into, Op?

If you like single-player only, there are quite a few games that don't require any kind of interaction with Live.

It's not that I don't want to be known as something, just that the current gaming client leans me towards 360 but the games and stuff coming out seem to go against me heavily. I've tried the PC but, while having a basic knowledge and being able to use some graphics design software, I think I'm Computer-Retarded. Not Illiterate, they get better. Retarded. Any tips on getting started on a PC that doesn't involve an assload of money and abunch of internet involved things?

I'm not a rabid Halo fan, but I enjoy the other series on the system more. Stick with it, figure out what you really do like, and play that. You're not starved for choices, really, as long as you're not fully obsessed with playing exclusives. Stranglehold is a damn entertaining game, Psychonauts and other classics are available for sale off Live, and you've even got a decent jRPG selection.

Overall, though, the exclusives draw me to the 360.
Not trying to flame or troll, but this is kind of an odd sentence. Other than Halo 3, Gears of War 2, and the Fable franchise, I can't even name any X360 exclusives :p

Yeah, I agree with the general consensus of giving PC gaming a whirl. If any system has got the crazy exclusives, it's the PC.

See that tree outside? Go climb it. Go skating on the rink. Take a dance class. Hell, join a chess club.

Just kidding! Who do I think I am, suggesting real-world activities to do when we can be fretting about virtual fantasies and our incompatibility with them. As somebody said above, Mass Effect is great. Anything by Bioware, really.

You still own the console and there are still good games on it, I wouldn't get rid of it, or give up on it. Maybe you're just not a shooter fan.

Still, if you've got the time and patience to build, or the cash to buy, a decent gaming PC, go for it.

Own Bioshock and Assasin's creed and can't replay them. Weren't horribly enjoyable comared to the hype. I'm trying to get Mass Effect Platinum Hits but am tempted to sell my crap. Don't use it enough. I have alot of games, all single-player, it just feels like this gen may not be for me. I love some exclusives like Condemned: Criminal Origins, Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssee, I get into a funk of not being able to play anything but oblivion for a while, and my devotion comes from original Xbox with games like MGS2: Substance, Breakdown, Shenmue II, and Silent Hill stuff. By the way, will someone kill me for pre-ordering Homecoming? Just please, god do it.

Get a PS2, play those games.

But it doesn't seem like you will accept any advice, instead preferring to come up with excuses as to why said advice is undoable. "You cannot help those that won't help themselves," so quit being so bloody negative and try. Get a few older PC games that will work on your rig, or use the internet to learn how to make your PC better so you can get newer games. You could also quit gaming and go outside and play sports.
Put in a little effot, only then can you reap the rewards.
