Yeah, actually, I'm the same. For some reason achievements annoy me but I quite like getting a new trophy.UNKNOWNINCOGNITO said:i have both 360 and PS3 and for some strange reason i'd much rather want trophies then achievments no idea why i just feel that a trophy is more rewarding than a achievement
You aren't the only one, that's exactly how I feel. I like getting them, just to show people that I play my games(there are those idiots who just go straight to live) and that I'm good at themAardvark said:Me.KaZZaP said:does anyone really give a shit about achievements?
It's a bit of a thrill to have a little box pop up mid-game, advising me that I've been given a non-monetary reward for performing something awesome or progressing in story or performing the grind required by the game's developers. Regardless, I like the things. Especially when they fall squarely in the awesome category.
I've done one better than that. Reformatted with every episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 on my hd. 365 gigs of goodness, GONE! I bet that's worse than your handful of achievement points! took me MONTHS to find all that stuff.popdafoo said:Dude complaining about this is like complaining about shutting off your computer and not saving a word document. It's no one's fault but your own, and this isn't thread material. Heck, I reformatted my computer and lost all my Team Fortress 2 achievements and weapons, but that was my fault.
Wow that's pretty bad. I lost my 5000 songs and like 15 movies, though. I also lost all my games and I had almost beaten Call of Duty 2. Now I'm going to have to start that one over again. I also have to redownload the plethora of custom maps on Counter Strike.Lift said:I've done one better than that. I like the system a bit more as well, it's a bit easier to tell if someone is a quality or quantity gamer.
Thats entirly your own fault...Killcushley said:So i was doing wht cool guys do on the 360, Playing viva pinata of course.
I sat for quite a long time and got to level 13/14. Now for me this was good, I had started a new game and had got this far without giving up.
I realise that no achievements are coming up so i press the middle button and it seems i had forgot to log in.
I thought nothing of it, i thought "Heh oh well il just log in and collect my achievements right about now."
But the Xbox thought differantly
when i had logged in i pressed thee middle button to go back to raising my Pinata farm when for some reason im at the main menu.
I could have killed somebody!
You made a thread about this...its NOT thread material - I've seen you make a lot of meningless threads - please stop, unless they actually create meaningful disscussion.-bladerunner- said:So here I was playing on my 360 on cod4, then I get logged out of live, 'Okay' I think and try to log back in: It didn't work. So I tried the tried and tested remedy: I swithched it off and on. Then to my horror I got the RING OF DEATH! Now my Xbox is broken so I can't use it over Christmas :-(. Others who have had the ring of death I sympathise with you. Greatly.
Also Microsft has increased the warranty by 2 years so don't worry if yours breaks they'll fix it for free!
I do!KaZZaP said:does anyone really give a shit about achievements?
I've done that a few times myself, luckily I've saved by then. Sometimes you just hit the wrong button by accident. But I mean hey, its just a game. If you want to imagine being really pissed about something.Killcushley said:So i was doing wht cool guys do on the 360, Playing viva pinata of course.

you dont need to be signed into online just signed into your profile the online is completely optionalHeyZeus_Ezekiel_Jesus said:That sucks. I never knew you had to be signed in to get achievements and that's good to know cause my router sucks ass and will sometimes time out randomly on PSN. But on PS3 you can get trophies without being signed in. Not trying to be a fanboy just saying.
Ah, so I am not the only one!klc0100 said:Eh try discovering you would have to do every game again to get new trophies.
