What a great idea. you should send him Knights Of The Old Republic, a truly excellent game to lift his spirits.
And then send the sequel, to lower them again.
I had to quote for the epic amounts of truth in this comment.

You sir are my new favorite person on the forums.

I am sorry to bring this up but if anybody is dumb enough to give away a PAL version of Legend of Dragoon then they are out of their mind cuz that game is soooooo rare.
If he really wants a game to hate then why not send him Oni because that game is infuriating and its original enough for him to like.

You do know he really doesn't like his fans.

Sending him this may make him hunt you down and kill you to death.
As opposed to been killed to a mild concussion?. tsk tsk

OT: I like the guy, personally I would leave a note...that would go like;

Dear Yahtzee:

Happy Belated Birthday!.

I knew if I brought you something for your birthday you would go, "aww, you shouldn't have!"

Thus, I didn't buy you anything!.

Still, since it's your special day; I will have a pint or two at the local pub and wear my hat indoors and out in your honor.

Stay safe down under and as always, beware of drop bears!

Warm Regards,

Skarin McFancypants.

I will also send the letter with a postcard of the white cliffs of Dover (to remind him about 'ol Blighty) or a can of

..coz he likes juvenile humor.

Give him a card that looks like a three year old made it in both the drawings and writing. For the picture draw the nerd from his videos who wears the "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful" T-shirt, holding his hand. :)

You want to give someone who plays games for a living, games for his birthday. That's just cruel.
Agreed. It's kind of like sending a doctor an incurable terminal disease.

Send the Sly series. He likes stealth games.
for four year olds? now, i'd like that game if i were younger, gameplay's fine, but it's a talking raccoon. little immat- oh fine they're good games! but for yahtzee? no.
Say what you will, but the gameplay's solid. Isn't that all that matters?

Explosives. Lots of them, so he can deal with the copy of Superman 64. He'll probably try to get each of us for contributing to this though. Meh. You could make a 'DVD' with th history of ZP so far on! Make it look awesome and it could be a pretty awesome present! I'd volunteer to try and make something like that, but I'd fail horribly.

Ooh, that'd be cool. I don't know much about editing, but I've been told on many occasions that I've got a great voice for that kind of thing.

Who would like to help me on this endeavor?

If your really serious about it, you could organise something with The Escapist itself. They would know how to get something to Yahtzee and it would be a neutral 3rd party that wouldnt steal the things you sent in.

As cool as I think this idea is, there is one problem with it.

Yahtzee reviews games as a job, and because of that, may not get time to play on the games you send him, meaning they might end up just gathering dust.

If you must send him something, try making it something other than games. Something he can have that won't really interfere much with his job.
