I was thinking about the show Futurama and I was wondering, "What will Earth be like in 1000 years?"

Think about it. In the past 1000 years, we have gone 180 degrees and changed the world for better and worse. So, I ask you:
If you were cryogenically frozen for a thousand years, what do you think Earth will be like (assuming people are still there)?

if we ignore the fact that cryogenics just doesn't work, I assume by then we'll have perfected either a real form of suspended animation or faster-than-light travel (possibly using wormholes) and will have turned our greed to the other worlds

My bad, I couldn't think of another term for it. I wanted to say suspended animation of some sort, but I got a case of word dislocation and cryogenics was the only term that came to mind.

That's not the point, though. What I'm asking is what people think the world will be like in 1000 years.

I, for one, hope to God the world doesn't last that long.
Well that's very strange, what's wrong with it surviving another thousand years?

well, anyone would probably get extremely ill because who knows what humans of the future have grown immunities to that we haven't yet.

Nah, I overreacted. It is I, Jim, that is sorry.
AWWWWWWWWW...:-D

But seriously, I think we'll be in the middle of a mild-to moderate ice age; the middle will have gone up in flames from the concentrated amounts of hatred and violence in that region, and instead of "special effects" for movies, people will say "graphics."

Well, look at all the stuff we've messed up so far. Do you really want to see the result of another thousand years of fuck-ups?

Also, the world lasting another thousand years means my plan will have failed.

Umm, not really my problem. I'll be long dead by then, so it doesn't affect me much.

And in 1000 years, someone's going to feel an urge to press the big red button, and everyone's doomed if he/she succumbs.

we will probably be immortal in some way or another there are scientists currently working on how to make cyborgs with robotic bodies that live forever but human brains that control them. that said, that will probably make sex impossible.
