After two years of nothingness I got my life back on track again. I got serious, proper help for my mental issues, crawled out of social isolation and I got myself back into school again.

I ain't there yet, as I still seem to be invisible for the female sex and I'm having a bit of a relapse in having confidence in my abilities (school related, not girl related), but it's going a lot better than last year. A lot.

I'm also on the verge of getting my driver's license (fucking finally), but I think that instead of getting that in 2011, that'll be my first great achievement of 2012.

Moved halfway across the world, albeit temporary. At least, that's the plan. Maybe I'll just stay here.
Just wondering, as you're one of the few Dutchies here; where did you go?

I've accomplished nothing. Which in itself is an accomplishment as I continue to live an entirely routine enjoyable lifestyle. Here's hoping to another year of the same.

I got my drivers license. At the age of 27. I just haven't been motivated before, but this year I was.

I haven't died in a terrible bike accident. Seeing as I do not have lighting nor brakes I'd say it's quite the accomplishment.
I also passes 4th middle school something here. it's like the 12th year or something I dunno.

and then I'm in the 5th year of the VWO, which is basically the highest.
Did I mention I haven't died yet?

I genetically modified several bacterial colonies so that they'd be white rather than blue, completed an undergraduate certificate, did rather well with my main degree, and released my own program. Yet still everyone I know has accomplished superior feats...

I managed to pull myself together and change some things, mainly regarding physical appearance and social life. Moreover, I now finally know what I want to do and achieve in life. And I accepted my love for her will remain unrequited.

Besides:
I wrote a paper we were given months of time for in one single night. The paper should have been eight to twelve pages long. Turns out -- thanks to accidentally choosing the wrong line distance -- I actually wrote twenty. Yes, in a single night.
And guess what: If I hadn't wrote too much, I would have gotten an A! But this way, I only got a B.
I can only work efficiently under immense pressure, I am too lazy otherwise...

It's been one hell of a year for me.

I finally managed to quit smoking.
Damn, man. That is really awesome! Glad to know you rid yourself of that horrific vice.

As for my greatest accomplishment this year, I met one of my best friends in person for the first time and it was the best two days I have had since I met another one of my best friends in person for the first time almost four years ago. I do wish I got to spend a bit more time with her as it went by way too fast for my liking (it literally feels like it was just a dream) but I'm just glad I got to spend SOME time with her at all, brief as it was.

That's two down, one more to go. Hopefully within the next few years and not any longer than that.

Most people would expect me to say 'graduating university' but frankly it was a shitty experience and a profound waste of three years and a lot of money. (I know someone up there says their achieement is getting into university, and I'm sorry for laughing, but you have no idea how crap it's going to be when you're done)

Instead I'll go with realising something fundamental about myself while working in a job. And I'm not going to tell you what that thing actually was. If you care enough you can PM me.
