Over the past year I've been helping my mother recover from a stroke that she had last November. I had to drop my full-time job in favor of a part-time position so that I had the time available to me to get her to all of her physical, occupational, speech, and vision therapy sessions as well as help her out with things around the house. I had to kinda put my own life on hold, but I don't mind. I've been fairly distant from my family for the past few years, and this has gotten me to really reconnect with them, and she's really doing well with the therapy. So I feel that's an accomplishment. It's certainly the most meaningful thing I've done in the past year, both for someone else and also for myself in a way.
