You insulted and generalized a bunch of people. Not all Americans like Gears of War and Call of Duty. I can't stand the Gears of War games and I am an American.

On Topic: Fallout: New Vegas and Fable 3 are looking pretty good. Assassins Creed: Brotherhood also looks like a good game. One game I am waiting for is DC Universe Online.

GoW is simply just any other 3rd person shooter except the people in it have replaced their muscles for buildings

Apart from Brink, all of them are pretty much more of the same. They may all be great games, but unless they have some kind of unrevealed and amazing new gameplay innovation, they fall short of being truly amazing in my opinion.

As for the thread at hand, I'm awaiting Dead Space 2, a SURVIVAL HORROR GAME, not a FPS like people say, in fact it doesn't even a FPS action, more third person over the shoulder survival horror. Also Fallout New Vegas, a third person RPG. And Halo Reach, a FPS. The others seem to come out next year, and Brink looks rather plain to me.

Games like Fallout and Brink won't really be affected since they're not Xbox exclusives, but games like Fable will never really be able to compete with those games.

I don't think so. I know people who are more interested in the next Fable than any of those other games.

Gears of War 3 isn't coming out until April 2011

And Dead Space isn't out till 2011 either as far as I know.

I feel people are too harsh on Treyarch. They make more balanced games than bloody Infinity Ward at least.

WAW only had one broken weapon, the MP40. MW2 has about 20 different unbalancing annoyances.

Plus did no-one else enjoy the campaign in WAW? I thought it was great fun.

mw2 was crap as well and infinty ward fell way below par hence why cod4 is still the only decent MP game in the cod series

Well, seeing as how most of those games don't interest me at the moment, I think I'll survive. For one thing, most of them are sequels to games I haven't played. It would make more sense for me to buy the first games, like Dead Rising, Gears of War 2(I already have the first one), Fallout 3, Dead Space, and such before I buy the sequels, if they interest me enough. Of course that would mean I'd be buying them way after they come out. But, in the end, I'm still getting them. Just not when they come out.

In all these Autumn Games threads, noone ever mentions Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. That game looks so awesome. It's by Ninja Theory, the Heavenly Swords guys, and it's like Ico meets Jak and daxter meets Uncharted. That's probably my most anticipated game this Autumn, aside from maybe Okamiden. But that's just because it's Okami, and Okami beats all.

EDIT: hang on, I'm not done yet. It comes early October, and there are only two things that can happen with it. It'll crash and burn, with me and three other people having bought a copy, or it'll be sleeper hit of 2010, like Arkham Asylum last year. And it's gorgeous.
