Which is odd, really, because from what I've read Einstein himself wasn't particularly religious. The problem with smart or influential people, however, is that everyone tries to co-opt them to prove their own superiority or the inferiority of others; I've seen Christians claim that Einstein was a theist and Hitler was an atheist, and atheists claiming the exact opposite.

Not really related, but I had heard that this was up for debate after some recent discoveries!

Slightly off topic; anyone else found that people who don't swear, and generally try to cast swearing in a bad light tend to be pretentious shit heads? Or is it just me?

I haven't really noticed that. Certainly, some people do consider swearing to be "dirty", and then proceed to lord their supposed "clean" status over others, but those people are few and far between. In my experience, though, the number of people who never swear is quite small, anyways.

Still, though, the pretentious ones aren't as bad as the ones who learn to swear, but never learn when to stop...

I...I own that book

Edit: Lol, the captcha gave me a free form text box to put in any words I wanted to describe the Gilette brand. I hope the market analysts find some use in my description as "Uncle Mingefinger's well-used cumsponge"

Define "profanity." I imagine a religious institution's definition may vary from others.

Come to think of it, define "teen novel." As others have already said, there's no rating system for books. Most libraries have a tiny, token "young adult" section, but from what I remember those books are absolute tripe, usually revolving around some current "issue" that's meant to be relevant to young people (chat rooms, for example) and written by someone who clearly has a very limited understanding of actual young adults. Also, as I recall, they desperately skirted around the issue of swearing, resulting in some incredibly unconvincing teen dialogue. I skipped straight from children's books to adult ones, as did most people I know.

He was not very sure about what he believed in himself and was known to change sides. This was more of a response Grey Day for Elcia as he had a quote from a "smart person". I decided to quote another "smart person" which was Albert Einstein. Science and religion does not have to be separate is what I was trying to say.. There are plenty of "smart people" that do not do what Grey Day for Elcia thinks and the world is a better place because of what they accomplished, even if they believed in God.

It's still standing. It turned out to be a relativity problem with the world's rotation and gravity that they failed to take into account. This makes me sad as I really wanted a future with faster than light travel. Even if it turns out to be incorrect in the future that does not change the impact that it has had over the years.

Very astute my friend!

It's some sort of logical fallacy. Pretty sure there's a term for it somewhere, but I can't remember it right now..
