Yerp that's right.... Saw:The Video Game is here...well in America. Europe in 20th of November.

Okay so you wake up in the magical bear trap. You ARE a victim. Detective Jonathan Tapp to be exact. In the game Jigsaw healed his gunshot and stuck him inside his asylum. The element of the game is a puzzle/Survival Horror. Similar to The Condemned Series apparently. Your goal is to get out alive..well it would be if you weren't so obsessed with Jigsaw here. You have to strive around searching for pretty much everything. Health, weapons, ect. But there is also the magic of hunting clues to things about Jigsaw. Many of these are found on "Jigsaw Pieces". Combat is also involved in the game. Punching, kicking, ect, along with the magic of....CURB STOMPING!

Now comes a fun bit....if your anything like me. When fighting with enemies you have the chance to set off the traps and deploy a gory cutscene! WAYHAY! So in a sense you kinda get to play the big man himself. I'm excited for them..
Also sometimes you will be helped by friendly AI with some things, so lets hope they do more than a sack of potato's. (However...they would be handy in SAW wouldn't they...Hell bring on the potato's.)

So, will the player take on the role of a victim, with the goal of getting out alive...

...or are we supposed to fill Jigsaw's shoes and devise an escape - proof (and entertaining) horror dungeon?

(Hey, developers! For maximum awesomeness, why not make BOTH options available! Think, "MULTIPLAYER!")

If the gameplay is fun and the story fits and is interesting, it should be worth a look.

I saw the entire walkthrough on Youtube already. Honestly, the graphics are good, but the ending(s) make the game lose its value. But something that will make people buy the game is probably how easy it is to get the trophies/achievements.

I say rent it.

Sorry I mis-understand has the game been announced, or are you asking us to imagine it.
Yup, was announced apparently.
What do you mean "announced"? It's already out in America and Australia, and is out in Europe in November.

I think, it'll be weird.

Or, if it's anything like the films. I'll be waiting for 400 sequels.
Yes, Quite. I sdon't think they'll ever truely kill the franchise. 5 sequels?!! and 2 more on the way?

No the friendly AI doesn't do anything. By the time something comes up they already flipped you off and are on thier merry way. You can use traps but you are not going to see any gory cutscene. Those are reserved for when you trigger the trap or screw up saving a victim. If they trigger the shotgun trap (which is the only non victim trap) all you see is a bit of red mist and watch the body fall to the floor.

And yes it is only worth a rent. It is short with absolutely no reason for replaying it.
