besides, I just load all my videos at the same time in diffrent tabs and mute the ads before them.

In the case of the Escapist, while it is a business, they isn't exactly a money making machine. The Escapist wouldn't exist if the staff didn't care about what they were doing.Hazy992 said:

Or to put it simply for the TL;DR folk-
-The site doesn't get advertising offers thrown at it like they're going out of style. If there's a banner ad for something strange, that's because it's all they have to put up. Have a little faith, if they had a choice between advertising the Snuggie and Halo 4, they'd keep it relevant.
-Believe it or not, it takes money to run this place and pay contributors, and ads are the only thing keeping you from having to pay for membership. It's a sacrifice- to keep the site running, you have to see ads.
Of course, you could always get a Pub Club membership and never have to worry about them again.
Don't think that thirty seconds of your life are being wasted, every thirty seconds you watch directly benefits the site. You're making small donations by just looking at things.
