So, I was rather happy today, just doing my business when suddenly I got an email from the store I pre-ordered Dragon Age 2 Signature Edition. Wondering what it would be I opened my mail and it said that:

They ordered the signature but EA doesn't have enough copies anymore.
EA doesn't wanna make more of them. They are very sorry.

I feel a bit sad now. As I reckon that when I ordered the product in december, that I would get that edition.
But now I will get (I reckon) the normal. And while that ain't the worst, I like extra stuff. Especially the soundtrack.

While this is more my angry/sad me typing so...
Don't you guys think that EA (And others) should make enough of these "special" editions? (Enough as in: The amount of pre-orders they receive before that special deadline)

Angry Tiggy Out~! *Sobs in corner*

They should. Honestly, Western devs can be rather stingy. Every copy of Hyperdimension Neptunia ships with the artbook and P4 shipped with the soundtrack. Just give the people what they want, Bioware. It can't cost that much.

ok. thats pretty awful. they should have taken the Atlus route. Atlus takes pre-orders and then makes enough for whats been ordered and ONLY whats been ordered.

i really am sorry. thats almost cruel. *hand a cookie*

Nope, I will be getting the Standard Edition. If I could only find a store who still has them :(

i actually had that happen to me once with a copy of Metal Gear Solid 3. Showed up at gamestop, already had the damn thing paid off, what's this? no, you're not on our record. sorry, you have to pay for the entire thing. again. if there was ever a time that i went into a blind rage, this was it. luckily two days later i found the receipt and convinced them that i had already paid for it.

i think its you pre-order with the store not with EA directly though EA do sell digital copies directly i believe, so it probaly that the store to more pre-orders then copies they were getting, maby there was miscommunication, maby someone didn't do the maths right, im just glad i put a deposit down on my copy now :), maby EA will make the OST available separately, and the DLC buy able on X-Live and PS-Store. if it makes money EA will consider it, also Email EA explain the situation and get a copy paste sorry reply most likely, as the saying (in a game i play) goes, if its broken petition it.

Wow that's complete bullshit. How did they determine to cancel your preorder and not someone else's? And how about those people who preordered from other places? Wonder if EA did an equal percentage distribution or if they just sent each store the same number of copies? Just messed up. Since obviously EA doesn't seem interested in pleasing us fans and making money, guess I will just hold off getting Dragon Age 2 for awhile. Least till it goes on sale.

Pirate the soundtrack, they aren't prepared to make more, so it's justified if anything.
I would never say piracy is justified. But this is really the closest to that you can get. That's like making a reservation in a restaurant months in advance, and then when you go in they tell you that someone else took your seats, so go fuck yourself.

That's harsh, really. It shows EA doesn't give a shit about anything but it's profits - which I really can't fault them for, because they are, after all, a business. But really. Dick move.

You almost had to pay twice?! Well, that is unacceptable
I would tackle the nearest employee if I were you.

I think that this time it is justified because technically, I already paid for it.
If I could only tackle them...*dreams*

Heh. Mine also toast, but for more complex reasons: My store preordered it all right, but for the wrong format. Whoops.

And here I am redeeming the code for that soundtrack... >.>
I just got my Signature edition an hour ago. <.<

That certainly sucks, I'd be royally pissed if that happened to me. Thankfully, it did not. Yeah, I'm not helping... I'll just leave then.
