So why not just remove the little black box? Let me guess, you go to jail if you remove it?
I think that counts as vandalism of government property... or tax evasion.

Prostitutes are technically considered government workers.
You can't be serios! You've got to be joshing us!
OT: Well that sucks...
I can't add to that to be honest.
Prostitutes are legal here and employed by the government. I am serious. The first prime minister said something about how it was the oldest profession, and how he wasn't about to stop it.

Who wants to bet he made a few visits?

Yep, I wouldn't ever want to live in Singapore. Few years back they executed some young Nigerian kid because someone conned him into taking some heroin into the country.

Any country where you can be murdered by the state for importing cannabis is seriously fucked up on some level. Someone told me they fit boxes in your car that track your speed so you get automatically fined for speeding without any need for a camera. Chewing gum is banned, they do horrible things to those who litter. My friend who visited there told me the culture is a lot less macho than in the West, so you don't see guys getting drunk and brawling.

Its where whenever you think "cutting in line at the cinema is inexcusable, if it was punishable by death then nobody would do it" they go and make it an actual law! Of course I'm exaggerating grossly, but if your a strict disciplinarian you'd probably get a hard on from going there.

edit: most of this stuff seems to have been mentioned already.

Simple solution to pay-as-you-drive road tax methods, I'll remove any gps device that they try to install and also remove my numberplate. There are fuck-all police officers left to police the roads in the UK now anyway as they're all doing paperwork, and cameras are easy to fuck over!!

I don't think you'd last too long in Singapore.

I think I would go on all right there, but I would still feel uneasy in public knowing that in the UK I can have a burger and chips from a take-away and walk wherever the fuck I like with it, go into a club and dance with some slapper, go to a football game and experience the sounds and sights of matchday, cycle about with no helmet on, drive aimlessly in my car, and get into a fight with some chav; whereas in Singapore I can do none of these things. I rarely do ANY of those things, but it really is nice to know that I am allowed to do them if I wish.

That sounds like a hell of a lot of effort to do something that will piss everyone off. Way to go governments of the world.

I probably wouldn't. But thankfully I live in a country where the traffic camera (various types) is more used than a policeman with a brain and eyes.

If I have no plates or GPS, I simply won't exist!

In all seriousness though, I'm all in favour of abolishing road tax in this country and putting a tiny tiny amount on the price of fuel instead. That way, even the people that tax dodge at the moment will have no choice........everyone needs fuel!

It'd need some work though, to make sure the tax varies depending on the vehicle (as it does at the moment when paying yearly of every six months). Probably something that could tie in with the national ID car system that's been a virtually useless non-starter until now.

EDIT: My reasons for hating either a GPS tracking system or a gate system are merely privacy ones. The government already collects, holds..........and loses, far too much information on us already. I don't want them to know exactly where I am, at what time and how fast I'm going. They'd treat us like fucking kids if they could get away with it.
