constant string of pop musicians that no one gives a shit about
They wouldn't be "Pop" musicians if nobody gave a shit about them, now wouldn't they?
Dude, The Beatles were originally pop musicians, The Sex Pistols were Pop punk, Michael Jackson was a Pop musician, even fucking Nirvana obtained mainstream fame, so don't tell me that pop music was shit throughout the history of modern music.

The Cd obtaining obsolescence at the hands of Istores and Mp3 kiosks
Sure, you would miss out on cool album layouts, but is it really that big of a loss?
Album art was for all intensive purposes, art, and I do miss it, but every time I want to own music these days, I either have to drive to a place that sells point cards, use a credit card to buy it online, or ask someone to burn it unto a disk (probably illegaly), of which I will do none of these things. maybe it's just my materialistic proclivities, but whenever I buy music or games, for the most part I would like to own it as a tangible object, not as a bunch of code that's stuck in one medium.

In short, yes, yes I think it is a loss.

I'd have to go with facebook, twitter and social networking in general. Life was a lot simpler back in the days before your boss and coworker knew what you did on your off time.

The downfall of Rock as a mainstream music genre.
What the hell happened to the music industry where EVERYONE sounds the EXACT SAME or be 15 and make millions by basing their music solely on children younger than then? Does talent mean nothing now?

Personally I think that pop. culture is rather funny and entertaining.

So I'll say the popularization of terrorism.
