England:

- Our whole imperialist history, and the fact that we can't help but get ourselves involved in problems that we created in the first place by treating the world like it was ours to do with as we please.
- The tabloid newspapers and their tendency to tackle complex social issues by campaigning against the first scapegoat they can find.
- The whole culture of worthless celebrity.
- The number of spectacularly rude people in customer service jobs, and the fact that most customers feel their only recourse is to be even more rude.
- Most English people abroad. Especially those who SPEAK SLOW AND LOUD IN ENGLISH and believe that it will get them understood, or just think it's beneath them to even attempt to speak another language. Also people who expect chips (fries) to be available wherever they go in the world.
- What can laughably be called our public transport system, and the fact that the government believes it's a good idea to discourage motorists without having viable alternatives in place.
- The Monarchy. Don't get me wrong I have nothing by respect for the Queen herself, I just dislike the institution and all the hangers on.

Bono makes us Irish cringe the odd time.

But we're definately not ashamed of the mad little fecker, he got Irish music on the map big time.

I am more ashamed that we inflicted this upon the world

I'd rather not write an essay, so I'll leave it at this:

Republicans tend to suck ass and Democrats seem to suck more, and no one outside of those parties stands a chance of getting elected, and probably shouldn't be because I find that most people who actually want to make a positive impact on the population don't go into fucking politics.

I'm done.

Oh, and I'm an American. FSM bless the USA.

The Arch-Bishop of Canterbury.

'Nuff said.
I guess as religious leaders go he's not that bad, most of the time he's just sort of there. But then again as Richard Dawkins pointed out one of the Church of England's masterstrokes was inventing the inoffensive country vicar. I'd generally agree with anything religion related, I find it apalling that as a basically secular nation we hand so much political power to the church.

Indeed, I find the concept of faith schools apalling.

Hoo boy...you are wrong. Memento? Donnie Darko? The Butterfly Effect? Those were unoriginal?
Memento was a British film set in America, Christopher Nolan Directed it (the guy who directed Batman Begins and the Dark Knight) and it was based on a book written by his brother, So I don't think Memento counts.

Im from the U.S.A, and I hang my head in shame at the fact that our government is trying to socialize our healthcare while countires With socialized healthcare are desperately trying to make theirs like ours (capitalist "choose-and-pay-for-your-own" style).

Also that half of the people in this country are lazy fat idiots that are oblivious to anything more complicated than last nights (american) football game, but that doesn't mean people should stereotype us to all be that way like most people do.
Yeah i do have alot of problems with the country i live in, Britain, but the one thing i am proud of above all else.. is our healthcare system. "Choose and pay"... problem occurs when you don't have the money to actually pay for healthcare...

Everyone deserves a standard healthcare system. If you want to go private also, then you get that choice aswell. Oh and i somehow doubt the country wants to scrap the NHS.

BTW worst thing of my country - BNP (British Nationalist Party) and terrible prison sentances

In England, it's gotta be the BNP.

They went to court the other day to defend themselves over the fact you have to be white and British to be in their party. Not that anyone should even want to be in with that bunch of Nazis.

Their excuse in court (as it always is) is that an organisation called something along the lines of 'Black People in the Police' (seriously it's not that, but it's to do with supporting black people who work within the met) supports black people and they're simply supporting white people. They fail to acknowledge that the group lets anyone of any race and background within the police force join.

They're also a group to help support certain people over all in an organisation, they don't want to lead the police and make sure only black people are allowed in the police force. Unlike the BNP (should the BNP ever manage to get into power) who would deport immigrants and probably lynch any non-Caucasian Brits.

The fact that they're allowed to be a party (freedom of speech doesn't exist when you're racist scum) is appalling.

Read V for Vendetta and you'll see what would happen if the BNP ever got into power.

America - Well I hate any concept of nations as a whole. But public school really piss me off. I'm a true believer in the concept of deschooling (bw, if youdon't now what tihs is, look it up,it's fairly intresting even if you don't agree) and believe public schools are just the government reinforcing socital norms, and chastising the poor. But also the ignorance of general populace to political ideals. I was talking to a friend the other day about the socialization of healthcare and GM,and his only response was "It's only temporary!" That was his response to everything I said. I asked him how long is temporary, and his response was not that long... This is such a stupid statement. But the underlying cause of this,IS NO ONE QUESTIONS AUTHORITY. ALL GREAT F*CKING GOVERNMENTS (I use the word great very, very relatively) WERE FORMED AS A RESULT OF QUESTIONING THE STATUS QUO. OBAMA NEVER HAD A FCKING PLAN. HE HAD F*CKING EMPTY WORDS AND SMILED NICELY. WHAT THE F*CK DOES MOST OF HIS POLICIES MEAN?! Like shutting down the internet (yes this is not a joke) in case of a "cyber-emergency"... (Oh how i wish this was a joke.) People should ask, "Hey, what is a cyber-emergency. Why does it matter?" THERE IS NO CODIFIED THING AS A CYBER EMERGENCY. HE CAN CLAIM THAT POP UP PORN SPAMS ARE A CYBER EMERGENCY. AND THEY DON'T SHUT DOWN THE WHOLE INTERNET, BUT SELECTED SITES IF THEY WANT. THEY ARE KILLING FREE SPEECH AND ACCESS TO INFORMATION. DOES ANYONE NOT SEE THE F*CKING PARRALLELS TO THE USSR? But don't worry., it's only temporary...

Btw, as a caviat before anyone calls me anti-liberal or a conservative. You would be more right in the first one, i'm in fact an anti-authoritarian/institution aka Anarchist. Done with my rant for now.
-Peace out.
