Taking a note out of Mr. Welch's list [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ThingsMrWelchIsNoLongerAllowedToDoInAnRPG], post things you are no longer allowed to do in tabletop RPGs.

Me? I have none. I wish I did Tabletop RPGs, but I don't :(

I've moved the thread to Off-Topic Discussion. The RP forum is more for active roleplaying, rather than discussing RPGs.

One of my players is no longer allowed to pull his gun on literally every single NPC he comes across, "just in case".

Our groups are only allowed one montey python and the holy grail quote per gaming session.
Otherwise it gets out of hand.

"Shits and giggles" is not a valid reason to use a psychic power and risk The Perils of the Warp in Dark Heresy. We're supposed to be looking for signs of daemonic taint, and not by causing the 6000 people that occupy the block in the hive city we're in to become possessed by Khorne and become extremely hostile, just because you thought it would be funny to flood an informant's kitchen with rats and roaches while they were trying to find something to eat.

Actually, it is a valid reason, since most of the fun in Dark Heresy comes from things going horribly, horribly wrong.

In my group it's busting out rhymes from old school hip hop, and it is totally forbidden. If someone can't control themselves and lets "he can't satisfy you with his little worm, I'll bust you up with super sperm" escape their lips, within a blink of an eye we are no longer interested in the game, and are more interested in shouting the entirety of "No Sleep Til Brooklyn" in unison.

I can imagine.

Though, is that one per group? Do you have to get in early before someone else uses up the quota?

It is one per group. The GM is also included in the group. We used to do per person but it just wasn't working.

This is the greatest list ever and I'm gonna try some of them with my DM tonight.

I haven't gone through the entire list yet so it may have been said but...
My group's DM said:
You can't bounce a fireball off of a wall and a pillar to hit the bad guy without damaging the party.
We had this one guy playing a sorcerer and we were in some catacomb place with vampires. He went on and on about how he should be able to bounce fireballs off of walls and such to avoid damaging the PCs. And the only PCs in the AoE were him and the Dervish who had evasion and high reflex saves anyway.

All of the following happened or were discussed:

Not allowed to steal the dragon runes off the walls and put them in my bag of holding for later use.

Not allowed to call off the shadow doppelgangers by convincing them (via conveniently-held dragon runes) that we are on their side.

Not allowed to store prisoners in the bag of holding while taking them back to town for interrogation.

Not allowed to (as a necromancer) store skeletons larger than humans in the bag of holding at any time.

Not allowed to invert the bag of holding.

Not allowed to hire out skeletons in town for use as menial laborers.

Not allowed to find ways around the lich transformation rite in order to keep "good" alignment.

Not allowed to build a bridge between two airships out of my personal skeletal army.

Not allowed to have both a skeletal hydra and a zombie dragon at the same time.

Not allowed to place petrified party member in the bag of holding.

While playing an completely insane character, I am no longer allowed to break the 4th wall or use Player knowledge in game, not even if I am playing Dead Pool.

Not allowed to put animals in the bag of holding along with an air elemental, so that they can breath.

Not allowed to steal an NPC's house. (I play CN)

Cannot make children run ahead as decoy because "kids aren't scared of anything". Apparently, they are.

Am not allowed to test spells on villagers.

Am not allowed to blow up a universe. (It only happened once...)

Am not allowed to get creative concerning the jelly cubes of doom...

I also forgot, I got to play as a character who can speak, No magically creating planets too close to our own even if the rules allow it, no claiming layers of the abyss as my own realm, In one campaign I tried to defeat Loth by kicking her out of her home and making it mine.

Oh, I forgot, we also have a 2 drink per hour limit. We're very much a Dungeons and Flagons group, and we usually do get quite drunk, but we try to slow that so we actually do make some proper progress in the campaign before we start doing the things that totally derail it that we say never happened when we start our next session.

Usually,

"Root, can you try and play a character that's not going to get party lynched from his personal psychology?"

or just

"LESS than 7 points of disadvantages please."

Awww, the most entertaining character to play as is one who is a total liability. I feel sorry for you now, they're killing your fun.
