I would like to know anything and everything about the game, such as

Where do I find items?

How do I tell what level I am?

How do I get high level items?

Anything i can find out is awesome, thanks guys

1. Items are random dropped. Though you can get some weapons via milestone achievements if you haven't already unlocked them.

2. There is no level.

3. Item levels are random except community weapons which are level 50 and valve weapons which are level 100.

For question 1, you either earn them by doing achievements, or find them in a random drop (that happens every certain time interval)

As for questions 2 and 3, what. Was Modern Warfare 2 your first FPS or something?

Rare items have a crappy drop system nobody likes.

In fact anything post Sniper Update for TF2 just made it worse.

Well, play it and find out.

It makes it much funner, and TF2 doesn't exactly have the most advanced ruleset ever.

It's actually a joke Valve put in there because people where saying that it's turning into an RPG. Also, keep any item You find, Even if you already have it. Because you can use them for crafting to make hats. Because finding(or making) a hat in TF2 is like meeting aliens who want to give you gold strippers.

This is a little off methinks. I have a couple hats but I've yet to enjoy a single gold stripper.

Much to my dismay.

There's a random drop system, which I personally appreciate. It means I can actually feel accomplishment by getting achievements myself instead of just joining an achievement farming server because I feel like I have to unlock the new, more powerful weapons.

Oh, and you'll have to make up some new curse words to describe the anger you'll feel from snipers and spies ;)

More powerful? Well, most of the unlockable melee weapons are upgrades I guess (no, not the sword), but to make an interesting unlock they needed to be useful, which melee weapons generally aren't. A fair few of the others are useful, but aside from melee nothing I can think of just straight-up replaces the original weapons.

pretty much every Soldier ive seen has forsaken the rocket launcher for the Direct-Hit
and pretty much every Scout used the Force-A-Nature and The Sandman until they were nerfed beyond belief

All the "milestone" acheivements, earnt from completing a set muber of other acheivements gurantee an item as well as randomly dropping
