Killing a scarab for the first time in Halo 3...

There's a moment in MW2 where a fellow soldier throws a magazine towards you. In one fluid movement you catch it and reload. Sometimes it's the simple things.
When you're challenged to a duel in Red Dead Redemption, it's easiest to draw the instant the screen says "Draw!" and go for six headshots to snag the win. If you really want to feel like a badass, though, you have to keep your gun holstered until the other guy draws his, and then target his hand before he can kill you.
It's incredibly hard to do, but if you can manage it, you'll blast his gun right out of his hand and get double Honor/Fame for winning. And, of course, you will inevitably end up saying "That was awesome", because it really is something to behold.

Playing Civilizations Revolution with my buddies and building the Nuke. They try to plea with me as to why not to use it but when that cutscene starts and that missle land on a city, it brings a tear to my eye.

In Fallout 3 when the VATS kill shot follows the bullet all the way to the enemy and then the ragdoll physics just finish it off beautifully.

I'm a sucker for nick-of-time rescues too, but you see the real deal so rarely in games, it surprises me. I'm not talking about the cliche ones where they're about to shoot guy A and guy B shoots guy A instead, but the real in depth rescues.

Emptied all my AK ammo into the fuck. Then all the shotgun. Then threw 4 grenades at it. Then switched to a pistol I fonud in my backpack. Then I ran out of absolutely everything.
Cut to me pulling out a knife, screaming "DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" and charging at the fucker. And killing it.
Afterwards I was like :3
