Having to grind xp or other stuff because the game simply doesn't let you advance in a normal progressive way (think of some of the final fantasy series)

I only particularly hate when you have to restart a level and it wasn't your fault. I can handle sucking at a game, that's no problem, but when a game glitches and a door that was suppposed to open doesn't, that drives me up the fucking wall.

Do not play Street Fight 4 online then, you will actually end up punching your tv/screen.

also i hate retarded, arbitrary time limits.

but what makes me rage most of all is when a developer refuses to confirm or deny a sequel to a popular game. just tell us if its in the plans, dammit!

RAGE!

First off, those cameras, why does every video game camera seem to have a scorn for my desire to look at things. I have fallen off too many a ledge in the recent Spyro titles thanks to the chimpanzee who programmed to camera.

The whiny, annoying, twats on XBL but that's a given at this point.

My biggest pet peeve is when the game freezes on me. Fallout 3 is particulary guilty of this. I was walking to Takoma Industrial when all of a sudden my game crashed. I was like "Oh, ok I had a save point from 5 minutes ago, I'll let my Xbox cool down and try again"

1 hour later

FREEZE! I got pissed off, one more attempt and FINALLY I got there. Apparently my game crashes if you take a certain route into Takoma Industrial. All I wanted was that "The Bigger they are.." achievement and the game freezes on me twice!? It's a good thing Fallout 3 such a kickass game or I wouldn't be able to except such bugginess.

The enemies in Far Cry 2. They just won't leave you alone, even if you drive straight through a guard post they will just get in a Jeep and start shooting at you, and somehow they are always faster than you even when you have a light desert buggy and they are in a big Jeep with a MG on the back. It just gets annoying when you constantly have to stop where your going to get out and kill them.

When enemies are allowed to interupt my attacks, but I'm not allowed to interupt thiers. At the moment I can only think of Prototype as the biggest offender.

Checkpoints that are few and far in between. Its so frustrating when you get past a really difficult part of a game, accidentally die, then have to restart right before it.

"It was all a dream" plots! They ought to die in fire!

I see you over there, Lost: Via Domus. Thinking you're so safe behind your story. Then it all turns out to be a fracking dream!?

auto-aim, escort missions mostly cause the people you have to protect are complete morons and normally end up killing themselves, and juggernaught in CoD4 and WaW (not zombies) mostly cause it takes 5 years to kill them even with stopping power, which i think should cancel out the effects of juggernaught

1)allies in RTS games who constantly attempt to enter your base with their entire armies to "garison" it...i'm sure thats what your doing
2)people you say hack to a clean shot/kill. eg i like to sniper/vechile hunt in FPS games. i usaully only make 6 kills however those kills were on high pirority targets. eg eg Drivers of vechiles that have a flag carrier, vip, flag carriers, turret/heavy weapon gunners and teamleaders
3)fighting games where the person knocks you down and then repeatedly hits you. i let my opponents stand up if i knock them down because i like a chalenge. Oh and if you are on this site and a forum memeber. The person i recently fought against on xbox live in soul caliber 4. Thank you for letting me stand back up and get my bearings. i can't remeber your name but it was a real chalenge and hounor to fight you
what is your xbox live profile?

in prototype, you can TARGET them LOL

just press TAB (or the ps3 equivalent) and it targets the biggest threat (that the game conisders) and you can change target, and then you will shoot at that enemy.

Yes, especially seeing as you can't really be angry either because then you've indicated that you're "not skilled enough" to handle it.

I'll use a fairly accurate example from a recent multiplayer session on UT 2004. The map DM-Rankin has a room with a shock rifle, and as some of you are aware, that weapon has a really awesome shock combo that obliterates everything close to the blast radius. Now, one player was really fond of this combo, and spent every match in this room, combo'ing every unlucky bastard dumb enough to enter the area. Now, for my part this wasn't very challenging as I kept sniping the head off the guy from a platform he didn't care much about. I still got infuriated when I saw that even though I had splattered the dude like 7 times, and he had what, shot me once, he was still the stat leader due to all of the idiots running head-first into his shock combos. So pissed as I was, I eh...politely asked him why in the name of Jeremy Clarkson he found enjoyment in using such cheap and repetitive methods.

And the answer I got?

"lol noob"

You all know that moment. It's when you facepalm and leave.
