1: Their political elections are based around who can fight animals the best.
2: Why are all the roads so mis-managed? Every single road in the game is swarming with dangerous animals. What do non-trainers do?
3: In one of the games (Diamond), your friends mother needs to give your friend (who is in a foreign town) a package. Your mum volunteers you to walk to a city that you don't exactly know the location of. Inside the package is 2 maps... AND YOU GET ONE WHEN YOU DELIVER IT.
4: Neglectful mother, etc.
5: How do pokeballs work? It appears that they convert the pokemon to pure energy, but that doesn't seem feasible.
6: How come pokeballs don't work on humans? They work on things ranging from sentient rock to rats to deities of time and space. Why not humans?
7: 10 year old enslaving a deity of time and space.
8: The only evident forms of transportation are cruise liners and submarines (and balloons in the anime).
9: How has Gyarados not wiped out humanity yet?
10: When you start your journey, your mother gives you a pair of shoes and an encouraging message. This ties into #4.

It's a TV show dude, and game, i mean do you really think a Digital world exists? or that monsters can come out of cards.

and Pokemon don't usually attack humans for no reason, they only attack trainers because they are jealous of the captured Pokemon (watch the first episode and it tells you ^_^), and everyone has at least 1 Pokemon in that world ^_^ (well...i think)

and Gyarados (i believe) are very obedient, although they are very hard to train (as said in the first Pokemon movie)

Thread name: THINGS IN POKEMON THAT BOTHERED YOU.

Don't tell me it's a TV show or a game. I know that. I'm not stupid. I'm replying in a completely relevant manner to a thread.

My captured pokemon (barring the latest two and yellow) are all hidden in pokeballs. Wild pokemon don't know they're there and they still attack. Regardless, every road or path is coated with wildly long grass or some obscure obstruction. Probably a result of their baffling political system. Oh, and I don't watch the show. I have absolutely no reason to.

Not every creature of the same species has the exact same temperament. There are bound to be some 'rogue' Gyarados around, and I wager there'd likely be one before humans developed pokeballs.

So that's your two points. How about all my other points? Got anything else you wanna add?

The prerequisite quest to get the badge in Olivine. There's a pokemon that functions as the light to the lighthouse. Okay. Good. That sounds plausible.

The pokemon is sick and thus not able to do its job. Okay, something to get the player involved.

But this pokemon provides light for boats to Olivine Port. LIGHT which helps COMMERCE to work otherwise the whole town is fucked because this one pokemon is sick.

Ampharos can't be that hard to get. Why don't they at least temporarily replace the pokemon? Why don't they have a failsafe? Why doesn't the government fly in the medicine?

My friend debates the last point saying that the Pokemon universe is total anarchy but they have cops which implies an institutional system of government.

I've really had a problem with the whole concept. Why do the pokemon professors give weapons of potential mass destruction to any kid who wanders by? though it never stopped me from enjoying the games. I saw a comic a while back that had the same idea as me. I dug up a link:

Well, with Heart Gold/Soul Silver coming out in a few days, I felt it was time to get all nostalgic about the freaky weird things in the Pokemon games of old. (Or Pokemon episodes of old, whatever works)

I for one always had issues with Nurse Joy, someone you only went to see when your Pokemon were hurt/unconscious, saying "We hope to see you again!"

Sadistic pink-haired witch.
Oh my god, WHERE DO I START?!?

1. Gary, when he always said "smell ya later" my 3 yr old mind was like "O.O he's gonna smell me?"

2. Nurse Joy as listed above

3. and this is a big one, literally [HEADING=1]HOW THE HELL HAVE THEY BEEN STUDYING POKEMON THEIR ENTIRE LIFE AND NOT KNOW ABOUT AT LEAST 300 MORE?!!?[/HEADING]

4. Trading pokemon to evolve them. My trading never worked out and i only got it to work once

5.The point of having a clock set in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald where the sky doesn't even correspond to the time. I mean seriously? Do you think we're going to go ALL the way home JUST to see what time it is?!

6. Gym leader Erika who disobeys her own rules! Explanation: When you battle Misty, pokemon up to lv 30 obey you, but when you go to fight Erika (there were no more lv upgrade badges) she uses a lv 32!(or was it 31?)

[HEADING=1]PHEW[/HEADING]

EDIT: AND ANOTHER THING!!! how is it that everyone talks about being great and shit, yet there's only 2 trainers battling the gyms?!

EDIT:EDIT: lol, sparta post
erika has the badge. She's giving them away so she must have at least one.

Why do Ash and friends always get fooled by Team Rocket's disguises? I mean they hardly change voices, the look mostly the same since they hardly change hair styles, and of course, the walking and talking Meowth is pretty much a dead give away even when it is in disguise. Do they think it is a deformed midget?

Eh, probably like the same effects of Clark Kent's glasses that it makes people stupid whenever you look at them.

The TV show... was very difficult to follow.
How? Ash meets a new friend with a new Pokemon, Team Rocket steals Pikachu, Ash gets Pikachu back, Team Rocket goes blasting off again.

I always wondered Pokemon never eat each other? I also had a problem with the ability to capture intelligent Pokemon like meowth from the TV series.

How you can't catch fainted pokemon. The only reason i can think of that you wouldn't want to catch an unconcious pokemon is because it's really dead.
