Jehovas witnesses. I had one senior lady trying to convince me so much to join them that when I told her I believed in evolution over creation, she had the audacity to say they were both right or something along those lines that made no sense, losing immeasurable credibility there and then
I think you'll find that she was explaining that the two need not be mutually exclusive.
Considering how incredibly lucky we are that our planet and it's eco system evolved in the way it did, you could forgive someone for believing that it's not a conicidence.
EDIT: OT: People who are emotionally or financially invested in a topic or product and then place more importance or value on it that the topic/product warrants.
For example, Peter Molyneux.
Another example: My lecturer for Dance. She honestly believes that dancing will
always increase your academic performance and that if your academic performance
doesn't improve after starting dancing regularly that
you're dancing all wrong.
I'm not kidding.
I can see how she could draw a connection between dance giving a sence of accomplishment to some, and the proven positive affect on emotional well being that physical activity has on people, and then linking all of that to someone being generally happier and more motivated, which could lead to better academic performance.
But she really does take it
way too far.
If anyone thinks that I'm over-sensationalising all of this PM me and I'll email you a recorded lecture of hers.
