World War II/Nazis.
When you consider that most of the survivors of the Holocaust have now died of old age, not to mention there's been several conflicts since... why are we still fixated on this one group?
Well, I guess the reason is that they were one of the few unambiguously evil groups that were vanquished within the last couple of centuries, plus there was a lot of interest in the occult and darker sciences, leading to a good amount of fictional breathing space... but really. I'm sick of it. Yes, it was terrible, but can't we let it go yet? I know people who are still a bit iffy with Germans, and these are people from a generation born after the fall of the Berlin Wall.

That's pretty much the same way I think, sad as it may sound. I didn't know them personally and I wasn't particularly fond of their work (okay, Michael Jackson, sure, but he was already out of the game.) I don't see why I should be mourning.

I agree. I don't get why everyone loves the iPod, I hate having to use iTunes to "sync" and that if I don't want to charge via USB I need to pay extra. Although saying that, I do have an iPod... I just didn't buy it. Long story short: I have fantastic friends and bad luck with electronics.

Agreed, Germany still gets shit for that today, its fucking illegal to even sympathise with Nazis in Germany anyway, I'm really sick of hearing my fellow Americans be so ignorant about other countries, America had slaves but we don't still hear about that.
